Whenever Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd think they’re off the hook, someone sues them again. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was sued back in August for not paying SUR employees. Then in February of this year, Lisa and Ken were sued for not paying their fruit and vegetable bills at Villa Blanca.
Another class action lawsuit was filed over a year ago, alleging that Ken and Lisa did not pay employees minimum wage or overtime and failed to give employees breaks. This lawsuit named all four of their restaurants (TomTom, Villa Blanca, Pump and SUR). Five years ago, Lisa sued her former attorney because she and Ken lost a judgment against a former waitress. That waitress was awarded 1.6 million dollars, which is a pretty big settlement. Big enough to say that case was totally legit. Have we noted a pattern?
According to a new lawsuit obtained by The Sun, Ken and Lisa are being sued by a former Pump employee, Ernest Bennick. Ernest is suing Pump and Lisa and Ken individually, for himself and other “staffers who have endured similar experiences.”
“According to court papers…the past four years, Pump has ‘failed to pay overtime wages’ to their workers.” The papers also detail how “staff were permitted to ‘work off clock’ – including ‘requiring employees to be on-call’ without compensation as the restaurant ‘failed to pay’ for the hours or ‘paid at improper rates’.” Those are some allegations.
Furthermore, the report says that “Pump personnel also claim that time records were ‘manipulated or edited’ to ‘show lesser hours than actually worked during the pay period’ – which has allegedly gone on for years.” That is definitely not a good look!
This lawsuit also alleges that supervisors were allowed to take “the tips that were left for the servers.” Also, “for at least three years,” Pump has “allegedly” refused to pay “employees the full amount of their wages upon termination or resignation.” Shady. Somewhere, Lisa Rinna is bathing in the news.
This lawsuit was filed in October 2020. After that, Ken and Lisa filed “a formal response and denied all accusations against them,” on November 23, 2020. The latest hearing has been scheduled for some time in April.
TELL US- WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE LATEST LAWSUIT? DO KEN AND LISA PAY EMPLOYEES? IS CHEATING EMPLOYEES HOW THEY MAKE ALL THEIR MONEY?
