Alex Rodriguez Denies Flirting With Kelly Bensimon

Two New York icons may or may not be in the midst of a flirty text exchange…

Real Housewives of New York City veteran Kelly Bensimon, and retired New York Yankee, Alex Rodriguez have been rumored to have exchanged a few flirty texts. According to E! News, a source reported that the two “have a cute and flirty text relationship.”

A rep for Kelly reiterated this statement and also mentioned that “they’ve been having a fun text relationship for the last couple of months. She thinks he is charming and a gentleman. They have mutual friends, and she has been talking to him about real estate.”

Unfortunately, a rep for Alex revealed that Kelly’s claims don’t align with Alex’s perception of their text exchange and said, “[Kelly] reached out on a real estate opportunity and that is it. There are no flirty texts. There is nothing there.” The rep went on to say, “a lot of people reach out to him for business purposes. Mr. Rodriguez is laser-focused on running Arod Corp, Timberwolves and being a present father for his daughters.”

The conflicting stories may not surprise seasoned RHONY fans, as they may be familiar with Kelly’s propensity to exaggerate details now and then, as she similarly did when defending her friend “Gwyneth”i.e. Gwyneth Paltrow against former castmate Bethenny Frankel during the infamous Season 3 episode affectionately known as “Scary Island.”

During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Goop CEO finally debunked the years-old claim and confirmed to Andy Cohen that she was, in fact, not friends with Kelly and was not aware of Bethenny attacking her in the press.
