Lawyer Claims Unaired Footage “Proves” Erika Jayne Knew About Tom Girardi’s Alleged Ponzi Scheme

Erika Jayne seems to be in a heap of trouble. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star seems to have accusations flying against her left and right. Which I guess is the nature of complicated lawsuits. Especially ones where your husband is accused of running a Ponzi scheme. A few days ago, Erika celebrated what she thought was a win in court on social media. The case that accused Tom Girardi of not distributing settlement funds to the the Lion Air plane crash victims was dismissed in court. Erika was also named in the suit.

But Erika had no need to celebrate. Because the lawyer handling the case for the victims, Jay Edelson, immediately announced some strategic reasoning. He asked for the dismissal in the state of Illinois so he could refile in California. Which is obviously Erika and Tom’s state of residence. But according to Jay, it’s now looking even worse for Erika.

As reported by Reality Blurb, Jay issued a new statement addressing the filing, It read, “The new complaint we are going to file is going to be fairly explosive.” Jay added, “We have now gotten information from Bravo though our case, including unaired footage, as well as evidence from the Bankruptcy Trustee.”

Jay concluded, “We feel very confident that we will be able to prove to a jury that Erika knew about Tom’s fraud and directly benefited from it.” Jay and his law firm that is handling the case is alleging that Tom didn’t pay out settlement funds to victims. All so he could continue to fund his lavish lifestyle with Erika.

In addition to the above statement, Jay added some thoughts on Twitter. He accused Erika’s lawyer of “misleading the public” in an effort to “throw up as [much] dust as possible.” Jay also tweeted, “We dismissed to refile in California to avoid needless motion practice on jurisdiction. No way are we letting this go. (But as we told the court, we are exploring settlement. Every dollar will go to the victims.)” His next post read, “We just want to get to the merits of the case and not spend time on which court it should be in.”

Then a Twitter user tried to suggest that the case against Erika was dismissed due to lack of evidence and to gain publicity for refiling. The user also tried to claim that Jay and his firm were “implicating [Erika,] not his partners.” But Jay was quick to clarify and said, “We are suing his partners too. To be clear, we believe that they (and of course Tom) are the really bad actors here. But Erika’s hands are not clean either.
