I know that everyone says that Real Housewives of New Jersey is Teresa Giudice’s show. And of course, it still is. But this was really Margaret Josephs’ season. She stirred the pot, confronted Teresa when no one else would, and somehow managed to be the center of it all, despite having no personal storyline.
But Marge isn’t a total monster of a housewife. She does have enough self awareness to reflect on some of her actions. As reported by Reality Blurb, Margaret took to an episode of the podcast Behind The Velvet Rope to discuss. Turns out, one of her regrets from the season is when she exposed Bill Aydin’s affair on wife Jennifer Aydin. On the very first episode of the season, mind you.
Margaret admitted, “I do regret causing any pain to [his wife Jennifer’s] family. If I knew she would react that way, I wouldn’t have said it. She is not that tough. She is not that tough. You know she is much more sensitive than she lets on to.” Marge added, “I mean, what upset me after the fact, even after we had our sit down, she was very aggressive on the after show.”
I am no Jen stan (not by a long shot) but I can’t fault her for harboring some ill will towards Margaret. Regardless of their sit down. Jennifer fully admitted on the show that even though the affair happened 10 years ago, she told no one. No friends, no family. She just suffered in silence. I’m not going to lie, as much as I don’t want to take up for Jennifer, I really felt bad for her. Jennifer previously explained why she kept it to herself. She stated, “I was able to do it for the greater good of my family.”
But if Jennifer thought it was truly a secret, she was mistaken. Margaret revealed back in February of this year that she heard rumblings of the rumor prior to Jen even coming on the show. Said Marge, “It was talked about. Other people knew — other people in the industry, other of my friends in the area knew about it. It wasn’t like people didn’t know. P.S., I wasn’t even judging about it. I was like, ‘Oh great. We have a great person on the show with me.’”
Either way, it hardly matters now. The cat is out of the bag and it’s for Jennifer and Bill to deal with privately. And as for Margaret, exposing the secret is between her and her conscience.
TELL US – DO YOU THINK MARGE IS SINCERE WHEN SHE SAYS SHE REGRETS OUTING BILL FOR HIS AFFAIR? SHOULD JENNIFER FORGIVE HER? ARE YOU STILL A FAN OF MARGE AFTER THIS SEASON?
