Former Real Housewives Of Potomac Alum Katie Rost Begs Andy Cohen To Let Her Back On The Show After Working Minimum Wage Job

Longtime fans of Real Housewives of Potomac love some Katie Rost. She started the show in Season 1. A mom trying to reorganize her life after divorce. Dating a man, hoping to get that ring. And devoting much of her time to philanthropic efforts. It was all about the charity scene, darling.

Season 2 found Katie’s screen time cut and after Season 3 she was gone. But we knew, or at least had a nagging feeling, something might be up with Katie. This is an incredibly clever, witty, and beautiful woman who was battling some very significant demons.

In Season 4 Katie was a friend of the cast. When Katie was not invited to the reunion, she lashed out directly at Andy Cohen in a since deleted social media post. “Everyone knows I should be on that couch. You want to exploit my image and life and not give me my time to shine?”

And therein lies the problem with reality television. A genre that obviously exploits people, but you sign up for the honor of possible humiliation and hurt feelings. In 2022, Katie apologized to Andy. But he tends to dislike being called out publicly. There were no plans for Katie’s return.

In the interim Katie has been dealing with an addiction to Adderall and alcohol. She was unable to see her children. There were also some extremely alarming social media posts. IYKYK. Katie entered rehab in 2022 in an effort to kick the habit and briefly relapsed earlier this year.

She is once again on the road to recovery and even went so far as to get herself a “normal” job. After her latest rehab stint, Katie shared she’s employed at an organic market in Maryland. Is it glamorous? No. Is it what she needs to be doing? Probably. The spotlight is a dangerous place for people in a vulnerable position. That said, Katie still wants her old job back.

According to Page Six, Katie issued yet another plea to Andy. She wrote on Twitter, “I’ve asked Andy Cohen to bring me back, apologized, gone to shul and said sorry.” I guess she got crickets because she added, “All that stuff. Radio silence.”

Katie continued, “I have a lot going on that a lot of people can relate to and a-lot HAS changed. I’m reliable. If they are still casting. Hire me. I’m here. And I’m real. #RHOP for real,” she added. Hopefully things have changed for Katie. Begging publicly for a job is not the universal sign that someone is doing great.

At this time, Katie has not received a response from Andy or the network. RHOP viewers definitely miss her witty reads and clever lines. But for the sake of an actual human being, television might not be her wheelhouse. While certain networks are known for continuing to hire people who may or may not have pre-existing conditions, we have to hope that at some point a person’s best interest becomes more important than ratings.

TELL US- DO YOU THINK KATIE SHOULD RETURN TO RHOP? WOULD IT BE HEALTHIER FOR KATIE TO REMAIN OUTSIDE OF REALITY TELEVISION? DO YOU THINK ANDY WILL RESPOND TO KATIE’S REQUEST?
