Lala Kent had one rocky ride with Tom Sandoval during the latest episode of Vanderpump Rules. No literally — they were on a yacht in the open waters of Lake Tahoe with a lot of tension building on board. I’m shocked neither Lala nor Scheana Shay lost it enough to throw Sandoval overboard. It’s a bit of growth for our former SURvers.
Lala and Sandoval ended up dramatically rehashing their past on the boat. Are we surprised? Sandoval is like an encyclopedia of Pump Rules history and loves to bring up niche moments whenever he can. Lala was upset that Sandoval, yet again, couldn’t just own up to his mistakes and not shift the blame.
The two unpacked the dramatic scene during the Vanderpump Rules After Show, and it’s safe to say that their “friendship” hasn’t made any progress.
Lala vs. Sandoval for the millionth time
During the VPR After Show, Lala stuck to her usual — calling Sandoval a narcissist. This time, she used the phrase as a way to explain his behavior toward her on the boat. “As much as I want to like stop running around calling everyone a narcissist, there are things that he does that are very on par with a narcissist,” Lala said. “They have a very hard time taking accountability for anything.”
Lala went on to describe how “infuriating” it was to deal with someone like Sandoval who never learns from their mistakes. Sandoval, in a moment of poetry, went on to rant for his portion of the After Show. His tactic was to bring up random moments from Pump Rules past and ultimately, disappoint Tom Schwartz, who sat right next to him, yet again. He made Lala’s point for her.
In the end, Lala said she didn’t want an explanation — just an apology. “He still cannot do it,” Lala said. “And I personally believe, I’m not a doctor, that it’s because he is a narcissist.” Fair point. Sandoval takes one tiny step forward and 100 massive leaps backward.
