For those who hadn’t heard, Jax Taylor recently liked an Instagram comment suggesting he should have married Stassi Schroeder. The like caused quite a stir considering The Valley star is in the midst of a separation. When his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright heard it had happened, she laughed and said, “Very weird. That is so creepy.”
Fans will recall that Jax and Stassi dated in the first season of Vanderpump Rules. The two split and got back together before calling it quits for good. Jax’s IG activity would seem to suggest some regrets about how things played out with Stassi. But never fear, the guy has a totally plausible explanation.
Jax writes off his Instagram behavior as “a mistake”
On April 11, Jax posted a clip from his latest podcast episode to his Instagram. In the comments, one concerned fan asked, “Please say the rumor about you liking a comment about wishing you had married Stassi isn’t true?! You have the most amazing wife I hope you fight to keep her!”
Jax replied, “yeah i was going through liking comments and i didn’t pay attention and accidentally hit like.. most definitely was a mistake.” Uh-huh. A likely story!
Nevertheless, despite the basic explanation, Jax’s fans seemed to be on his side. In fact, some didn’t even seem to mind the idea that he had liked the comment intentionally.
As one commenter said, “you have to admit, they [would] have had the cutest children.” Another similarly wrote, “stassi is bae so don’t be embarrassed.” Other commenters were curious as to why Jax and Brittany were still hosting their podcast together mid-separation.
Brittany previously answered this query by saying “We’ve got to make money for our future, for our son, for his future. That’s what really matters.” Jax, however, had another take: “Just because we can’t be together at the moment doesn’t mean we can’t be friends and be good [co-parents].”
