Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was pretty chill for Erika Jayne. Did she throw some shade at Garcelle Beauvais and slam Sutton Stracke? Yes, and yes. Plus, she told Garcelle at the RHOBH reunion that she wasn’t “interesting.” And Garcelle was not pleased. However, Erika caught some heat for a shady remark she made about Garcelle on Watch What Happens Live.
Erika Jayne says she was responding to RHOBH alum Garcelle Beauvais’ own comments
The conflict between Garcelle and Erika started when Erika floated the idea that Garcelle “peaked” sometime in the ’90s. Her roster from back in the day was impressive. Well, when Garcelle appeared on WWHL, she had a few words for her RHOBH co-star. “F*ck Erika!” Garcelle exclaimed. Then, while looking directly at the camera, she remarked, “Listen, I married for love, not for money.”
So, when Erika visited WWHL, she had her clapback ready. “Well look, we both married ugly white guys that cheated on us, so…” Erika stated. “You know – for love.” As you may recall, Garcelle was married to Mike Nilon, while Erika has filed for divorce from Tom Girardi.
When Erika was asked what the reaction was to her WWHL diss, she was not sorry. “Listen, people have to do what’s right for themselves,” she told PEOPLE. “As far as my Watch What Happens Live appearance, I was responding to what she said, “F*ck Erika,” the week before. So, I gave my response,” the singer added.
In addition, Erika has “no idea” if her relationship with Garcelle can be repaired. Seriously, these two have never been close, so why would Erika be interested now? When presented with the possibility of working things out with Garcelle if she returned to RHOBH to claim her diamond or appear as a friend, Erika responded, “That’s certainly an option.” It sounds like an option that Andy Cohen is keen on, as he told Garcelle that the door to RHOBH will always be open.
