The biggest trust-fund playboy on Bravo had his sexuality questioned recently. It was all perfectly harmless. Shep Rose was spending some time around Andy Cohen’s social circle. And one friend casually asked whether the Southern Charm star had a boyfriend. Interestingly enough, Shep also came up as a match for the Bravo executive on Raya. But that could be the result of their recent social interaction.
Shep made a career on Southern Charm as the charming womanizer who can’t imagine a family life. The closest any woman got to settling down with the Bravolebrity was Taylor Ann Green, who dated the reality TV star for two years.
Andy Cohen had to tell his friend that Shep Rose “is not gay”
Andy shared the amusing incident during a recent episode of his show, Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live. The Bravo executive revealed that Shep “showed up on my beach” after texting that he was visiting the Hamptons.
“No one on my beach watches Southern Charm or knew who Shep was. My friend, Fred, who, you know, John was like, ‘So, does Shep have a boyfriend?’ I go, ‘Shep is one of the great womanizers on Bravo. He is not gay.'”
Andy revealed that Shep also “came up on my Raya” while he was visiting the area. When the Watch What Happens Live host briefed Shep on the situation, the Southern Charm star responded, “I gotta check my settings.” Indeed, Andy decidedly added that Shep “is not” coming out this summer.
Further into the conversation, the radio host praised Shep for spending time with his son, Ben. He also found the Southern Charm star very patient with his child.
“You can tell the measure of a person by how they are with your kids,” Andy explained. “He walked on the beach and you know, Shep, I’ve always characterized as like a golden retriever, but he walked on the beach and Ben immediately ran over to him because he saw the fishing rod and he’s like, ‘Are you going fishing?’ and Shep’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ll teach you how to do it. Come here.’ He spent a really good amount of time with Ben trying to teach him how to fish and so did his friend, then he let Ben bury him in the sand. I mean, and I was like, ‘You know what?’ It touched my heart. I was like, ‘This is very sweet.'”
