On this week’s episode of Married at First Sight, we get to see the final two couples walk down the aisle. We found out last week that Luke Cuccurullo knows a friend of his new stranger wife, Kate Sisk. He also recognizes his wife to be and points it out to his friends. As she walks down the aisle, there is fear in his eyes. Could it be because he doesn’t like what he sees? Or does he know the friend more intimately than he should? Either way, I am hoping for the best for Kate. After her parents’ divorce, she has thrown caution to the wind for her own chance at love.
Interestingly enough, Luke immediately recognizes Kate as someone he has met before. Despite them meeting only three weeks ago, Kate doesn’t recognize him. I guess he wasn’t all that memorable. I can’t remember what I ate earlier today, but I can definitely remember faces. Nonetheless, they both seem to be attracted to one another as they read their contracts vows. Their words are beautiful, but I am really wondering how they can write them so easily for someone they don’t know. After the ceremony, they share a glass of champagne in a quiet area. It is more than obvious Luke is nervous and seems awkward. He reveals he has met Kate’s friend Megan, who is a guest at the wedding. Immediately, flags are raised in Kate’s mind. Then, she connects the dots. She met her now husband at a speed dating event with her friend, just a short time ago.
This week’s Married to Medicine was the second installment of the reunion! I am ready to see the fallout from the bombshell accusations Quad Webb-Lunceford and Mariah Huq made against one another. Everything from snorting coke to stealing brothers-in-law was thrown out on the last reunion. I can’t believe it’s come to this, but I’m here for the drama!
The reunion begins with the continuation of the accusation that Quad slept with Mariah’s brother in law. She denies putting out the story and calls Quad “the scum of the earth.” In return, Quad accuses Mariah of doing cocaine. Heavenly then tells Mariah she needs to get her husband because he is making gestures at Quad offstage. Everyone takes a break and Aydin Huq is visibly upset. Upon returning to their dressing room, Aydin is screaming that a “homeless” person he helped is defaming his family. I literally laughed out loud at that. I remember when Mariah said that Quad was homeless and her license plate was her address. Quad seems like an opportunist that married Greg for money. So I don’t think it’s far-fetched that he helped his wife’s best friend financially in some way.
This week on Floribama Shore, the drama with the Gus Smynios and Nilsa Prowant reaches a head…literally. Nilsa approaches Kortni Gilson about breaking girl code and the drama ensues. Why oh why can’t these two either go their separate ways? Or just spare us the clingy dramatics. The hunch punch could not have been that great, if this is still an issue. Meanwhile, Gus’ self-esteem is through the roof from all of the attention. SMH!
The death defying fun continues at Wild Canyon adventures. Everyone cheers on Candace Rice and Aimee Hallfrom a distance as they contemplate their lives, as they decide swing into open air. They screamed and cried, but were able to conquer their fears. Gus checks on Nilsa, who has missed all of the fun due to her motion sickness earlier. Kirk Medas and Nilsa are hanging out at the hotel, when she reveals how her feelings are hurt by Kortni and Gus constantly cuddling. My feelings probably would be more hurt over Gus sleeping with another woman 24 hours after me. Not, him sleeping in the bed with someone who calls themselves a giraffe.
Last night’s season premiere of Married of First Sight begins with all of the participants being told that they are engaged! Surprise you are about to marry a complete stranger. Cue the nerves and instant bubble guts. I love this show, but I don’t think I could live with a stranger for eight weeks and call him my husband. The experts claim they use science and insight from previous seasons to make decisions on matches. Let’s hope this year, these singles fair better than some others in the past. But after viewing the trailer, this season looks like it’s going to be GOOD!!!!! There are definitely some strong personalities and explosions that happen as a result.
The couples have just found out they are engaged and now only have less than two week until their wedding day. Each person reveals the news to their family and let’s just say, most are shocked and worried to say the least. This is a short time to convince people close to you that you are not making a mistake. The participants each have to find their wedding attire, have their bachelor/bachelorette parties and convince their guests to show up to the shit show wedding. While shopping, everyone seems to be excited and in good spirits. It’s always fun until the reality of what they signed up for sets in, on the wedding day.
On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, in part two of the reunion, hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab, sit down with the OG’s as well as their significant others and families. This episode we get a little more in depth as we finally get to hear the families perspective on this season. We even get more insight on Cory Wharton’s thoughts on Cheyenne Floyd and a possible relationship. She admitted in part one, she would be ready to have a relationship with Cory, but she knows he is not interested ready (for anything other than sex).
Andrew Glennon looks awkward and nervous when he asked about his thoughts on Amber Portwood’s thoughts of suicide. He shares that it is scary, but he needs to do more research and talk and listen to Amber to help her through her depression. When talking about being a new father, he begins to cry thinking about how his son makes him happy. Gary Shirley and Kristina Shirley join the stage to discuss co-parenting.
They claim co-parenting is going well and Leah is doing fine, but it seemed during the season (and every season) that they wish Amber would do a little more. Kristina goes into detail on her miscarriage and gets emotional while speaking about it. Amber also tears up (in an attempt to steal the attention back) when she sees how upset Kristina is and her own miscarriage. Dr. Drew commends them both for sharing their stories about losing children for others that may need to hear it.
It’s that time again for one of my favorite shows, Married at First Sight. If you are a true reality fan, who wouldn’t love watching a controversial experiment, where couples agree to get legally married to a stranger the moment they meet. Sign me up, I do!!!! The couples are matched and counseled throughout the eight-week experiment by experts, sociologist Dr. Pepper Schwartz, psychologist Dr. Jessica Griffin and marriage counselor and leader of a church Pastor Calvin Roberson.
I have watched this show for years and it is always interesting to see the journey from meeting to living with a stranger within a short period of time. It’s like going on a never-ending first date. The new season will premiere on January 1st and will feature these four new Philadelphia based couples. Which couples will fall madly in love? Who will be running straight to the courthouse to file for a divorce after? Will they each be attracted to their spouse? So many questions…. and only eight weeks for them to figure it out!
This week on Floribama Shore, the group is still in Cabo, Mexico and Gus Smynios and Nilsa Prowant are still entertaining the one night stand from hell. Honestly, I have never seen such an apparent bad decision, last for so long. Plot twist… Instead of a lover’s quarrel, there may be a love triangle brewing with roommate Kortni Gilson. Is there no one else in Floribama Shore to cuddle with besides Gus?
The Floribama Shore cast heads out to a club for the night. Kortni meets a new victim guy to dance and have fun with. Gus sees a girl he saw earlier in the trip and proceeds to flirt with her. Of course, he makes Nilsa jealous all at the same time. Nilsa sees her stand in prop the guy from the twerk competition and tries to flirt with him as a distraction. Ughhh…. Can we just stop with this never ending story? She would you stop chasing Sonic the Hedgehog Gus? He isn’t worth your pretty or your time. After he slept with that random (in grey sweat pants) a day after you, I wouldn’t have given him a second glance, let alone the satisfaction of believing he could to continue to play me.
On this week’s episode of Teen Mom OG, we look back at the journey the five moms went through this season. The cast sat down with hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab, to chat. They discussed everything from mental health, children and divorces. This season, Amber Portwood even threatened to leave the show. As much as Amber may need a break, selfishly I don’t want to deal with getting to know a new mom. Let’s face it, new moms, Cheyenne Floyd and Bristol Palin, were train wrecks, each in their very own annoying way.
Maci Bookout got emotional when asked about memorable parts from the season. She can’t look at anyone without seeing hurt, especially with all of the mom shaming online. She wishes the other moms could see themselves the way she sees them. This is clearly a reference to Amber, who has been plagued with depression and recently struggled with comments on social media about her parenting skills. The other moms come to the defense of Amber and try to uplift her spirits as she breaks down. I do feel for Amber, it is obvious she has many issues. But at the same time, you either have to make the choice to get off social media or leave the show. As much as I hate to see her go (she is good TV), it’s clear to me she isn’t emotionally strong enough to handle it.
