Kandi Burruss dealt with several personal issues on Season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kandi sent her eldest daughter, Riley Burruss, off to college even though Riley has no idea how to clean. RHOA viewers watched Riley grow up on our television screens.
Kandi decided to go after Riley’s father, Russell “Block” Spencer, for unpaid child support. Riley and Kandi feel that Riley is entitled to the money that Block owes her. I totally agree.
As Season 13 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta is nearing its end, I can confidently say that it was a bit of a let down. And it’s a shame because it had so much potential. Porsha Williams jumped head-first into activism and even got arrested at a protest. She may or may not have had a little too much fun with Bolo at Cynthia Bailey’s bachelorette party, but is pleading the fifth. Bravo gave us a wedding, a few break-ups and make-ups and even some brand-new cast members. But still, the season was a snoozefest. Particularly when it came to most of the peach holders.
Thankfully, the friends-of RHOA saved the day. Newbie LaToya Ali got into it with everybody. She shaded Drew Sidora’s wig, which ignited a season-long feud. She’s fought with Falynn Guobadia, Porsha and even her bestie Kenya Moore, who had a crush on her. And, as always, Marlo Hampton was a major highlight – even getting in the middle of the Kenya and Porsha feud. And wearing hazmat suits to events like a queen.
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta would’ve truly had the most boring season yet if it weren’t for the friends-of pulling their weight. This season even had Cynthia Bailey’s
super-spreader wedding, an alleged cast hookup with Bolo the stripper and Porsha Williams getting arrested while protesting for Black Lives Matter. And somehow, it was still dry.
The OG ladies are just not bringing it like they used to, so thank god we’ve had LaToya Ali. And I say that fully recognizing her messiness. She’s had a feud with Drew Sidora since shading her wigs early in the season. Despite getting up close and personal with Porsha Luther King at the bachelorette party, Porsha says she’s done trying to have a real friendship with LaToya. She and Kenya Moore have a love-hate relationship that might be more than a friendship. And don’t get me started on her random rivalry with Falynn Guobadia that almost led to a physical altercation.
Latoya Ali was the lightning strike that Real Housewives of Atlanta needed this season, whether you like her or not. She’s in a complicated relationship with Kenya Moore that has everyone confused. She and Drew Sidora have gone back and forth since they first met. And she almost made Falynn Guobadia come at her with a golf club after she made disparaging comments about her husband.
While she might not be the best person to have as a friend, at least according to Porsha Williams, she’s great for RHOA. She brings Twirl out of her shell. She can turn even Falynn’s boring ass party into an event. And now she’s gotten into another battle with the cast about the reunion before it’s even aired.
There’s definitely something to love about each of our Real Housewives of Atlanta. As a group, these women consistently bring it season after season. That’s not to say the non-peach holders aren’t just as important. Marlo Hampton has certainly earned an honorable mention. This year, LaToya Ali and Falynn Guobadia have also brought some highly entertaining content. Faylynn running around her house with a head full of snakes trying to club Toya was PEAK.
Lucky for us, it seems LaToya and Faylynn will be at it with each other for a while following the Halloween party events. Earlier in the season, they both attended Kandi Burruss’ Kandi C.A.R.E.S food drive. At the time, it seemed the drama was focused around whether or not Kenya Moore donated to the cause. During the episode, Kandi mentioned not all of her friends were as giving as she had expected. Later we learned Kenya had actually gave a sizeable $5k to the cause. So who was being stingy with their dollars?
LaToya Ali may be a newbie this season on Real Housewives of Atlanta, but she is serving up the drama. LaToya has frequently clashed with fellow freshman cast member, Drew Sidora. Fun fact: Kenya Moore cannot stand Drew, either. LaToya has said that Drew’s husband, Ralph Pittman, doesn’t care about her.
During Cynthia Bailey’s rowdy bachelorette party, stripper Bolo came to perform for the ladies. LaToya ended up making out with RHOA co-star Porsha Williams. She also called out Drew for her behavior with Bolo.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta are hitting the streets of New Orleans for another epic vacation! Let the drama begin because there are many issues looming over this group right now. The last time we saw the women, LaToya Ali incited a wild fight at Falynn Goubadia’s Halloween party. For some reason she found it appropriate to attack Falynn’s relationship in her own home. Can any of these women even trust a wildcard like her at this point?
Also, all season the rivalry between Porsha Williams & Kenya Moore has been heating back up. These two have never seen eye to eye, but somehow this year it feels more toxic than ever. They both claim to not be giving the other one the time of day, but we know that’s not true. Unfortunately, Marlo Hampton finds herself stuck directly in the middle of these feuding women. It’s getting close to the point where she’s going to have to choose a side.
While the official cast members of the Real Housewives of Atlanta have been a boring AF this season, the friends-of are bringing it. And, for once, we’re not talking about Miss Marlo Hampton.
Latoya Ali and Falynn Guobadia got into a screaming match during the most recent episode, ending with Faylnn screaming and trying to get a golf club from the garage. Latoya was picking a fight with Falynn in her own home and slamming her husband’s age (who Latoya knows nothing about), so what did she expect? It was truly the most entertaining part of Falynn’s lame-ass Halloween party. For once, RHOA finally showed an event that’s COVID-19 compliant.
