But Madison and Craig have come together, albeit over a lawsuit. The two are part of a suit brought against them by Kathryn Dennis’ ex Joe Abruzzo. If you don’t remember him, it’s OK — their relationship lasted about two seconds. He was another older man in politics Kathryn dated, honestly probably to make Thomas Raveneljealous. But the two called it quits, but Joe is apparently trying to milk the most out of his 15 minutes of fame. Last year, he filed a lawsuit against Madison, Craig, Chelsea Meissner and Bravo producers for intentionally inflicting “emotional distress, fraud, negligence and defamation” on him. He’s going after $10 million from the group. Ironically, viewers probably barely even remember any scenes involving him in the first place.
Do you remember Joe Abruzzo? No worries if you don’t, I barely do. For anyone who needs a refresher, he briefly dated Kathryn Dennis last season on Southern Charm. It truly seemed like Kathryn has a type: an older man in politics. However, the relationship was pretty short-lived, unlike her saga with Thomas Ravenel that went on way too long.
When they split, Kathrynclaimed that they broke up after some encouragement from her friends who apparently didn’t like the way Joe spoke to Kathryn. Well, now, way after the fact, Joe is suing Southern Charm cast members and the Bravo network for $10 million. Why? You’re gonna laugh about this one.
Our summer with the folks of Southern Charm has come to a bittersweet end. Sweet because it’s over, and bitter because the story line centered around a withering bromance and toxic romance of an Austen Krolltriangle. The wayward beer enthusiast spent the season entangled in a twisted web, pulled between his snobby, elitist wing man and shrill, roid-raging girlfriend. It wasn’t the stuff of Bravo dreams…that’s for sure!
Andy Cohen welcomes Danni Baird to the sofa before Austen continues to lecture Kathryn Dennisabout her admittedly odd Watch What Happens Live appearance. Naomie Olindo interjects to state that a friend of hers witnessed Kathryn drinking before her evening in the clubhouse. Cameran Eubanks had the same snitch friend texting her this intel as well. Kathryn maintains that she didn’t have a sip of alcohol before WWHL, and she’d admit it if she did.
In fact, Kathryn has already shared that she is back to drinking in moderation…whatever that means. Craig Conover reveals that often times the cast has lied about seeing Kathryn drink because they didn’t think she was allowed to drink. Shep Rose agrees that they have all defended Kathryn’s reputation more than she knows.
Geez Louise. There is a lot to unpack from last night’s Southern Charm reunion, the least of which was the spectrum of outfits…but seriously, can we talk about that for a quick second? Cameran Eubanks keeps it chic and simple with her gorgeous dress and amazing shoes, but the rest of the ladies are all over the map! While Naomie Olindo looks cute repping her line, she could be at a dance club or hanging out at the mall in the 80’s with her look. And while we’re on the subject of the 80’s, Chelsea Meissner stole her dress from the Dynasty costume archives. Of course, no one’s ensemble is more confusing than Kathryn Dennis’ bridesmaid’s dress and matching eye shadow. It’s just…a lot.
Cameran is under fire from some viewers who thought she whined too much about motherhood. Instead of being defensive, Cameran admits that she cringed a bit watching some of her complaints this season. While she misses her career and the adult time it afforded her, she knows she is incredibly lucky to be able to afford to be a stay-at-home mom. Motherhood has certainly changed Cameran, and she loves that she can watch Palmer grow and change each day. Cam apologizes if she came across spoiled or privileged as she is very aware of her good fortune. Kathryn comes to Cameran’s defense, asserting that every mother struggles with the same feelings of guilt and the inability to balance.
Well, last night we finally got to see the two minutes of cocktail chaos that Southern Charm has been teasing us with all season! While the party crash was anti-climatic, the real drama was the demise of a bromance and the rise to fame of those elusive ladies from the cell phone footage…let’s dig in, shall we?
Kathryn Dennis and Patricia Altschul are shopping at Gwynn’s and exploring fifty shades of Gucci. As they try on shoes for Pat’s upcoming cocktail party, the pair gossip about Shep Rose’s horrible attitude towards Austen Kroll’s relationship with Madison LeCroy. Patricia reveals what we’ve all known–Shep despises Madison because she once rebuffed his advances. Color me shocked by that news!
Chelsea Meissner is meeting her absolutely adorable father some good food and great atmosphere. They discuss Chelsea’s boyfriend and her decision not to go into business with Madison. After Madison’s Rocky Mountain outburst, Chelsea is worried how Madison would react if they ever had a professional disagreement. Very good point, Chelsea.
It’s safe to say that the Charmers Colorado trip has been filled with highs and highs and highs and lows, and last night’s episode of Southern Charm was just as hot and cold…and not just in the natural springs! After a night with the wicked weed, the group munches on a hearty breakfast before heading to the hot springs. Austen Kroll and Madison LeCroy conveniently found their way into the same bed, and Shep Rose can’t handle their early morning PDA. You know what I can’t handle, flashbacks of a grown man unable to function because he can’t handle his marijuana mashed potatoes!
Cameran Eubanks and an even more awkward than normal Whitney Sudler-Smith are taking the next plane back to Charleston. After her trip with the ganja gang, Cameran misses daughter Palmer more than ever, and Whitney…? Well, Whitney must feel embarrassed after what when down at dinner with Kathryn Dennis, right?
If last week’s episode Southern Charm was the introduction of Mary Jane into the cast (with cameras involved, obviously), last night’s show was a sky-high debacle. It’s the first day on the mountain for the Charmers, minus Shep Rose who is still nursing a drunken knee injury and Whitney Sudler-Smith who is still crying over a ski accident from childhood. Chelsea Meissner is channeling Putin’s mistress, Austen Kroll is pretending he’s not trying to hook up with ex Madison LeCroy, and the majority of the girls are headed to ski and snowboarding lessons.
Over a pre-slope breakfast, Austen denies any smooching with Madison, but he’s not going to lie and say he doesn’t want to rekindle that flame. Cameran Eubanks recognizes that this trip will not be rejuvenating her mojo as she FaceTimes with baby Palmer. The group is quick to motivate, waiting on Kathryn Dennis to don her Tellatubbie/Charlie’s Angels (original, not the reboot) ski look. It’s a lot, but it is magnificent.
