After a long delay, Southern Charm is finally gearing up for a new season. Thanks to the Rona and some cast members jumping ship, production was postponed and some even questioned if the show would return at all. We’ll see some new faces in the group, but other things apparently never change. So far, it seems Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll’s “relationship” will be heavily featured.
Hopefully viewers will be spared from watching Austen take part in any unsafe sexual engagements. That wouldn’t be proper social distancing during these trying times! While the crew tackles white privilege, surviving a pandemic in cargo shorts, and Kathryn Dennis, Craig Conover says relationship issues are still a thing. Now Craig details what’s in store for viewers, as the saga of Madison and Austen continues.
Season 7 of Southern Charm is about to hit our television screens, after a long delay. On one hand, you can blame the pandemic for the hiccup in filming. On the other hand, you can blame Kathryn Dennis for starting a rumor that caused half the cast to quit. That Kathryn, she works hard for the money…
Most of Kathryn’s legacy consists of her tumultuous liaison with Southern Charm alum, Thomas Ravenel. Their on/off relationship is still fresh in the mind of fans. So is the vitriolic custody battle over their children. The mutual mudslinging. The accusations from both parties about drug and alcohol abuse. It seemed like there was no coming back from the harsh words exchanged between the former couple. Well, things change and people
are stupid evolve. In an odd twist of fate, Kathryn found herself living with T-Rav once again, and cameras were there to capture it all.
Southern Charm is finally returning. The show took some time off from filming because, people quit. Cameran Eubanks left due to rumors of infidelity surrounding her marriage. Apparently being “friends” with Kathryn Dennis has it’s drawbacks. Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner followed suit, as they prefer to keep their drama down to what protein to have with dinner.
Cameran’s BFF Leva Bonaparte has joined the cast to fill some of the void. Leva has been around forever, in the background. Judging from the Season 7 trailer, discussions regarding race relations and white privilege will impact the crew. Though viewers might be weary of the content, I assure you this was not a subject one could avoid whilst living in a Southern town. Now that Leva has been introduced to the public, people are commenting on her race and ethnicity. Saying she is the “token” addition to this ensemble, with her “ambiguous” skin color. Now guys and gals, Leva needs a second of your time.
It seemed touch and go there for a minute, but Southern Charm is returning. The show faced some hardships prior to it’s comeback. Kathryn Dennis decided to imply Cameran Eubanks’ husband was playing doctor with a side-piece, so Cam quit the program. Naomie Olindo and Chelsea Meissner also jumped ship, rather than face another 13 episodes of Kathryn’s high drama. Eliza Limehouse also opted to not come back, but if I hadn’t mentioned it, would you have noticed?
While Thomas Ravenel has been gone for eons, his spirit lingers on. He doesn’t show up, but he is certainly talked about. Madison LeCroy has a new set of extensions and she isn’t afraid to use them. Mads is now a full cast member and appears to be well-versed in the formula of reality television. We also meet newbies John Pringle and Cameran’s buddy Leva Bonaparte. Under the haze of a summer filled with a pandemic, battles over race relations, and questions about sobriety, it looks like we might actually have a season.
Well Kathryn Dennis is never at a loss for stirring things up, I’ll give her that. The Southern Charm star has been embroiled in drama from the gate. It made for some Dynasty-level dramatics. Of course she couldn’t have done it without the aid of, Thomas Ravenel. Drugs? Duh. Rehab? Of course! Arrested baby daddy with a sexual harassment charge? Naturally! The only thing we were missing was a rogue kidnapping to a tropical island by a jilted lover. But there’s always next season. Ultimately Kathryn addressed her issues and began her journey to kind-of sobriety, along with being a more responsible parent.
But Kathryn is gonna Kathryn. In May of this year, she got involved in a racist scandal. Her tone deaf and irresponsible actions put even more of a damper on her already shaky reputation. Kathryn has since apologized and promised to “work on herself”. Which sounds vaguely familiar for some reason… Recently, T-Rav’s ex-
one night stand girlfriend gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. Obviously, this seems like an ideal time to tease the public with a possible new man. In the absence of scandal, Kathryn is still stirring it up.
Things just keep getting worse for Kathryn Dennis. Less than a month after getting blasted in a racially-charged social media scandal, the Southern Charm star is back in the headlines because of a financial lawsuit.
This time, Kathryn is being sued by a professional image consultant. She hired her to revamp her look but allegedly never paid for her services.
By now you have heard about the hot water Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis put herself in. Kathryn shared a tense message exchange with an African American woman, defending her support of the President. While that is not a racist act in itself, screenshots of the conversation have been made public. At best, Kathryn is severely lacking in tact.
In an attempt to make a point during the correspondence, Kathryn used a monkey emoji. Naturally, this was extremely offensive to the recipient and because the context of the conversation centered around race. The monkey emoji was not seen as a gesture of amusement, but a definitive act of discrimination. Kathryn has apologized for the incident and promised to make a public statement of remorse, which has yet to occur. Now Kathryn is addressing her mistake on social media again, and offers another apology.
One of the best things that has come out of quarantine is the throwback marathons on Bravo. There’s something so nostalgic about watching our beloved Bravo stars before they had stylists and plastic surgery. Ah, simpler times. It’s fun to see where the stars we know today started from.
And apparently, I’m not the only one who appreciates the old school rawness of seasons past. Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has been catching up on previous seasons of VPR while stuck at home with her fiancé Randall Emmett. Lala has come a long way since her hostess days at Sur. But her biggest takeaway? Her new face.
