Happy New Year! The very last Real Housewives Of Atlanta of 2018 was an episode full of goodbyes, family, and rebirths but next week, once we’re firmly ensconced in 2019 the fighting resumes!
Cynthia Bailey is sending Noelle off to Howard University where she’ll be studying dentistry. Days before Noelle is supposed to leave the serenity of Lake Bailey, right in the middle of her going away party, she starts having a panic attack. All totally normal except for the cameras filming as Noelle as slumped on the ground in fetal position sobbing into Cynthia’s lap.
After joking that her baby “doesn’t get out of bed for less than $1 million a day,” Kenya Moore finally released photos of her daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly. She did share those first photos exclusively with her Instagram followers. Instead, Kenya and Marc Daly’sdaughter had a full-on photo shoot with People.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, or the baby is out of the crib (for that presumably high paying photo shoot), Kenya has shared several photos on Instagram. Sadly, Kenya is not a Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member anymore. The fans did not get to see Kenya’s pregnancy or any of Brooklyn’s first moments. However, she did get a visit from two Atlanta Housewives.
Noelle Robinson is about to leave for Howard University to study dentistry. Since Cynthia Bailey has never even played a college kid on TV, she has no idea what to expect. Like should she teach Noelle about how to handle her liquor now, before she leaves to school by giving her brunch cocktails? Should she cut Noelle’s food, and open her juice boxes, and make sure she’s buckled into her car seat? Should she go to college too and live in the apartments next to the dorm? Or IN the dorm?! Can Mike Hill stay over in said dorm? So many worries!
Real Housewives of Atlanta is back tonight with a new episode. Let’s just hope they can get back into the groove of how things used to be! This season has been a total yawn fest. Will tonight’s episode be any better?
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members have been very suspicious of Cynthia Bailey’s new man Will Jones from the get-go. Cynthia kept saying that he was “too good to be true” and she never expected to find someone so soon after her divorce from Peter Thomas. Everyone else viewed him as an opportunist looking to cash in on Cynthia’s notoriety as a Real Housewife.
Kandi Burrusspointed out that he was on reality TV dating shows. The new girl Eva Marcillesays she met Will’s GIRLFRIEND and the timeline doesn’t add up based on what Will said to Cynthia earlier in that episode. Even Porsha Williams had some tea to spill about Cynthia’s man. On the show, Cynthia was visibly upset as she was caught between feeling like a fool in public and looking for the best in a guy that she likes. Nevertheless, she has never adamantly defended Will. Instead, she has listened to everyone’s input and just “hoped” that they were wrong. I figured that she was just trying to keep a story line under wraps and she would speak out later, but maybe she’s not defending Will because they are not together these days. Or at least that’s what their recent Instagram posts convey.
After an explosive Season 9, Season 10 of Real Housewives of Atlanta is a total snooze fest two episodes in. I still have hope though- that trailer for Season 10 really did look lit. Clearly, we haven’t reached any of those juicy moments since the most wild thing to happen during episode 2 was Cynthia Bailey’s(completely unnecessary) bath tub session. It was giving me flashbacks to Tamra Judge on RHOC.
Cynthia also went on a date with a much younger guy that she compared to Norbit- which was super awkward, and not in an entertaining sort of way. Other than that, we saw Kenya Moorecrying about the state of her marriage and the media speculation (already).
Even though Peter Thomasacted like a full-time cast member on Real Housewives of Atlanta, it was actually his ex wife Cynthia Bailey who was a Housewife on the show. With that said, it is not at all surprising that Peter would want to do his own spin-off show. In all honesty, I had no idea that Peter had a big enough following (or a following in general) to justify getting his own show, but obviously he would jump at the chance.
Peter never got to hold up a peach in the RHOAintro, but he might as well have. He was all about the drama on a show he wasn’t even cast for, so I’m sure he will stir things up on his own show.
