Real Housewives of Atlanta had an… interesting season. It’s difficult to sum up, but if you enjoy exotic dancers wearing fake Chanel crime tape, then I guess you had a great time. New cast member Drew Sidora came on the scene and it might be fair to say she watched every single episode available of RHOA prior to her debut. But don’t forget Drew is a master thespian and can assume any personality she wants to portray, thanks to her amazing acting skills.
Drew and husband Ralph Pittman had quite a storyline. Ralph likes to play music and take long drives. Like really long drives – all the way to Florida long. And it was one of Ralph’s road trips that got him in hot water. Thank goodness he had solid evidence in the form of financial receipts to confirm his innocence. In the event you are one of the fans maintaining a healthy side-eye at ‘ol Ralph, then save a seat for Marlo Hampton because she is on your team.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta have wrapped up their season and if I’m being honest, I was underwhelmed. It’s one of my favorite franchises, so I feel like they could give me nothing and I would still be happy. Which is kind of true for this season. But they hyped up the whole Bolo situation so much, I was expecting more. And they just didn’t deliver. Despite Kenya Moore trying to make BoloGate happen, it just kind of fell flat. Does anyone really care if Porsha Williams slept with him or not? I don’t.
But with a new season we did get a new housewife, Drew Sidora. While she clashed with almost everyone, she made it a point to show a lot of her personal life in her first season. And I mean A LOT. We got to swoon over her hot husband, Ralph Pittman, only to immediately un-swoon when he ditched her for three days without a peep. That was a mess if I’m being frank. I don’t care how hot he is, disappearing to “Tampa” for three days is a marriage dealbreaker for me. But Drew also shared a family struggle that included her oldest son, Josiah, coming to terms with his biological father.
Drew Sidora and Kenya Moore have consistently feuded throughout this season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, and they haven’t been afraid to go low. They’ve accused one another of cultural appropriation after they both questionably wore Native American costumes. They’ve each not been afraid to make comments on each other’s bodies. And Drew is doubling down that Twirl and LaToya Ali were more than just friends this season, adding gasoline to the years-long Kenya v. Porsha Williams battle.
We can expect a veteran villain like Twirl to get in the mess. But Drew’s involvement has been a pleasant surprise for a newbie in an otherwise “snoozefest” of a season, to put it in the words of Marlo Hampton. They each think the other is thirsty and being extra for the cameras. And let’s be honest, they probably both are. They are working for that Bravo check, to be fair.
The first part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion episodes was pretty explosive and downright sexy. The RHOA ladies returned to the dungeon to talk all the drama this season. We finally learned who, or what, was in Tampa waiting for Ralph Pittman while he ghosted Drew Sidora. Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore had their typical back and forth. And Cynthia Bailey sat there silent the entirety of the episode. She honestly should’ve pulled a Mary Cosby and just gone to sleep, we wouldn’t have noticed.
Kenya also addressed her controversial Halloween costume, which Bravo did not condone because it was cultural appropriation. She tried to bring up that she had Native American heritage and threw Drew under the bus, and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Everyone should just dress as a dead mermaid like LaToya Ali and then there won’t be any problems. This may be the one instance where Toya isn’t the problematic one.
Welcome to the dungeon! After a season of secrets, lies, and strippers between their thighs, The Real Housewives of Atlanta are reuniting. What started off as a slow season quickly developed into a crusade into everyone’s sex lives. From the infamous Bolo to the divine Prophet Lott, these ladies have some explaining to do. Luckily for viewers, the reunion is in person, and Andy Cohen’s going to get all of the answers we crave.
Kenya Moore’s detective ambitions are surely going to be a hot topic at the reunion. Her obsession over Porsha Williams’ alleged tryst with Bolo rubbed many the wrong way. Why did it matter so much to her? What was her motivation for pursuing the truth? If Porsha was a single woman at then time, should it even matter? FINALLY, the women are together again and can speak on EVERYTHING.
Reality TV stars and properly filed taxes just do not mix. Whether you’re a world-renowned restaurant owner like Lisa Vanderpump or a
tired and possibly fired new dad like Jax Taylor, our Bravolebrities and taxes just don’t go hand in hand. And it looks like Real Housewives of Atlanta newbie Drew Sidora is falling into that category.
Drew came in hot in the otherwise “snoozefest” of a season, according to Marlo Hampton. She’s feuded with LaToya Ali over a wig, a prophet, her husband and the reunion taping. She’s gone back and forth with some nasty comments with Kenya Moore, who she believes is messy and puts on for cameras. Drew has also had plenty of problems with her husband Ralph Pittman, which she tries to slide under the rug no matter how many times Toya brings it up.
This is it folks! The last regular episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has arrived. The season started out rockier than ever, but things have picked up in a big way lately. Somebody pray for LaToya Ali because according to Drew Sidora, she has committed the ultimate sin. She’s openly accusing her of sleeping with Prophet Lott. Why is whatever relationship they may or may not have any of her business? Make it make sense.
If LaToya really is dipping into the pond of divinity like Drew claims, so what? Why is she being extra extra and cancelling her baby’s blessing ceremony? She’s doing the most, and it screams desperate and thirsty. LaToya isn’t anyone’s favorite cup of tea, but come on now. What she chooses to do and whom she chooses to do it with isn’t any of her business. Drew didn’t like Kenya Moore investigating StripperGate, so why is she doing this? Hmm.
Latoya Ali was the lightning strike that Real Housewives of Atlanta needed this season, whether you like her or not. She’s in a complicated relationship with Kenya Moore that has everyone confused. She and Drew Sidora have gone back and forth since they first met. And she almost made Falynn Guobadia come at her with a golf club after she made disparaging comments about her husband.
While she might not be the best person to have as a friend, at least according to Porsha Williams, she’s great for RHOA. She brings Twirl out of her shell. She can turn even Falynn’s boring ass party into an event. And now she’s gotten into another battle with the cast about the reunion before it’s even aired.
