Let’s be honest (sorry, super fans): Lisa Vanderpump gets a completely different edit on Vanderpump Rules than she does on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. On Vanderpump Rules, Lisa is the sweet mentor who has given these “waitresses” golden opportunities that they don’t deserve. On RHOBH, she is constantly called out for being a puppet master.
At this point, I don’t get why Lisa would even bother with the bull shit on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when she can just pop in sporadically on Vanderpump Rules. That role just seems way easier to me. Anyway, it has to be so weird knowing Lisa as a cast member on one show and watching her on the other. Recently, Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder and Lala Kent weighed in on the Lucy Lucy Apple Juice saga.
In a conversation with Interview, Stassi broke the situation down logically. She observed, “I think everyone is a little guilty in this.” Clearly, minus the bias that some fanatic viewers may have.
Stassi continued, “I don’t think there are any saints in this situation, and I will stand by that.”
Then she went through each of the players one by one. Stassi said, “I think that Teddi [Mellencamp Arroyave] came clean, finally. She’s already owned her shit. They’re skating over the whole Dorit [Kemsley] thing. All of a sudden she became a victim and I’m like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa.’ She’s the one who gave up the dog, so she’s guilty.” We are pretty much all on the same page with those remarks. But, what about Lisa? This is where the fandom is (very vocally) divided.
Stassi admitted, “And I mean, Lisa, her hands aren’t clean. I don’t know what she did, but there’s no way that her hands are fully clean. The only thing I think about is the wellbeing of the animal.”

Does it make any sense that John Sessa and John Blizzard would do any of this without Lisa’s permission? If she was so appalled by their antics, why wouldn’t she just fire them? Clearly, on some level, Lisa was good with exposing Dorit. And why wouldn’t she be? Dorit bought that dog to kiss Lisa’s ass. Then, she put the dog in danger. She deserved to be exposed and I’m sure Lisa agrees (and was probably involved). She should just embrace that and put Dorit in her place.
In that same interview, Lala channeled her inner LVP and just kept it about the dog. She didn’t analyze any of the social politics. Lala said, “Here’s my opinion on the whole thing. Let’s take away the fact that they were using this dog to make people look bad. At the end of the day, this was a dog that was rescued from a Chinese meat festival.”

And then Lala (rightfully) laid into Dorit. Lala said, “If you didn’t like the dog and it didn’t work out, pick up the damn phone, call Lisa Vanderpump, and take the dog back. Dorit is 100 percent at fault.” Clearly. Dorit is the one who started all of this bull shit. That is the one thing that everyone can agree on.
