Billie Lee Says Jax Taylor Is “Very Close Minded”; Couldn’t Care Less About Not Being At Jax & Brittany Cartwright’s Wedding

Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules was a tough one for Billie Lee. Like James Kennedy, she was excluded from most events. The biggest snub for Billie last season was being excluded from “Girls Night In” at SUR because Katie Maloney is awful forgot. Lala Kent, who was grieving the loss of her father, also shouted in Billie’s face most of the season. Needless to say, Billie was a bit adrift last season on Pump Rules.

Thankfully things seem to be turning around for her and Lala. She’s also been busy celebrating Pride month across the country, with everyone from Bravo. In spite of the tide turning, she was left off the guest list for the most important filming event of Season 8. Billie was not present at Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding last week. The good news is, she couldn’t care less!

Billie shared why she didn’t have FOMO over missing the wedding in an interview with In Touch Weekly. Billie was actually in NYC for Pride having too much fun the same weekend the Kentucky nuptials took place. She told In Touch Weekly, she was “so not feeling like [she was] missing out whatsoever with the wedding.”

Billie elaborated on her thoughts about Jax to the magazine. She said, “I think Jax is a very negative person. I don’t think he has an open mind or an open heart.”

Billie shared, “I wish the best for him and Brittany, but for me, he’s very close minded so I wouldn’t want to be in Kentucky hanging out with some close-minded people when I have all these beautiful, open-minded, colorful people in my life.”

It sounds like Billie means it! She even shared with In Touch Weekly, “I think he tweeted, ‘I invited every gay person but Billie Lee’ and it’s like, I’m not gay. For him to not know the difference between gender identity and sexual orientation, it’s really frustrating for me.” I’m sure this gets completely frustrating. Especially because she spent an entire season trying to explain the deeper implications of exclusion to costars who didn’t want to hear it.

Billie also let In Touch Weekly in on some inside information, stating, “When I first joined the show, GLAAD and I asked for them all to do a media training.” Unfortunately, “not one person accepted the offer,” she revealed. That is disappointing to hear. It’s also pretty surprising considering most of the cast claims to be inclusive and understanding. Doing the work that could back up such claims is apparently another issue.

TELL US- DO YOU THINK BILLIE LEE IS REALLY FINE WITH NOT GOING TO JAX AND BRITTANY’S WEDDING? SHOULD THE CAST EDUCATE THEMSELVES A BIT MORE ON ISSUES OF SEXUALITY AND GENDER? DO YOU WANT TO SEE BILLIE ON PUMP RULES AGAIN?
