Bethenny Frankel Details Plan For Mission To Amazon Rainforest

#Thisisacrisis and Bethenny Frankel is ready to respond.

Over the weekend, the (now-former) Real Housewives of New York City star took to social media to announce that she was putting together a mission to help save the burning Amazon rainforest through her #BStrong charity initiative.

In a series of tweets, which were shared as screenshots by iRealHousewives, Queen B explained her plan to help put out the fires that are currently engulfing the Amazon.

“Gearing up to attack the Amazon crisis,” the RHONY star tweeted using her #bstrong hashtag. “[S]pecifically saving the lives of indigenous tribes [and] animals. Tomorrow I’ll get specific but, [I]’m chartering a full size supertanker (fire truck in a plane) to spray massive area. I’ll reach out w[ith] details for you to donate. Planning trip.”

Fans were quick to thank Bethenny for taking action. In her replies, B was characteristically razor-tongued in calling out other celebrities who were using the environmental crisis to get good press for themselves while adding to the confusion and misinformation being spread across the internet.

“People with major impact are posting inauthentic photos,” she wrote in one reply. “They feel they need to post for PR but they need to not regurgitate false info[;] be quiet or be authentic.”

However, in the next breath, Bethenny also urged fans not to “shame others for not getting involved.”

“Information is power,” she tweeted, along with The New York Times’ official Twitter handle. “Getting real details.”

When another fan encouraged her to shift focus to the extremist, far-right government of Brazil, led by President Jair Bolsonaro, Bethenny fired off a reminder about the purpose of her #BStrong charity, which she launched in 2017 during Season 9 of RHONY.

“I’m strategic [and] organized [and] bite what I can chew,” she wrote. “Now it’s a badass fire plane that can spray a massive area and help people [and] animals. I need to get sorted but you all helped me last time and we did this together so I’m communicating. I will know more tomorrow (today).”

In addition to the Amazon, Bethenny has also brought disaster relief to the Dominican Republic, Texas, Florida, Mexico, the recent California wildfires, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, the latter of which was documented on a Season 10 humanitarian trip with co-star Dorinda Medley.
