I am still dying to know what that secret is that Wendy Williams recently teased about her girl NeNe Leakes. Sure, I’ve seen some rumors on social media, but I’m looking for an official confirmation. In that same conversation, Wendy also claimed that NeNe told her she was going to quit Real Housewives of Atlanta.
That doesn’t really surprise me since NeNe has been missing from most episodes and when she does appear, it’s for about thirty seconds, minus that hotel room fight with Kenya Moore. Other than that, NeNe is barely on the show.
Kenya dished on the latest NeNe drama during an interview on The Real. According to toofab, Kenya shot down those rumors that NeNe is quitting the show. Kenya jokingly aasked, “Does she still have bills that need to be paid?”
Kenya continued, “No, I don’t think so. I think that’s fake news. Listen, there’s not a lot of jobs out here that will pay a woman in their 50s — a black woman, especially — close to or over a seven-figure salary. So no, I don’t think she’s gonna quit any time soon.” Honestly, minus all of the bad press, this seems like a pretty easy gig for NeNe. She barely appears on the show, yet she is the constant topic of conversation.

During her interview with the ladies of The Real, Kenya was asked if NeNe orchestrated Wendy’s comments to “leak” the speculation to the media. Kenya commented, “I do think there’s a sympathy card involved.” For sure. NeNe has not had the best reception from fans the past few seasons. The woman who was once such a joy to watch can just be so frustrating.
Kenya commented, “She’s been on the show for a long time, since the beginning. And I think the last two years have been really hard for her. I mean, #SpitGate is coming up, where she has issues spitting things at people, including myself. And I just think that that’s not the NeNe that we fell in love with. Like, we wanna see the fun, fun-loving, homegirl NeNe. And I think maybe it’s just time for her to take a step back from the show and just get herself together.” It is a tough time to be an OG Housewife. They’re dropping like flies these days.

Plus, almost everyone loves a comeback. NeNe has left the show before. Kenya commented, “she needs to do it again.” Honestly, I wouldn’t mind.
Kenya also claimed that NeNe has leaked lots of stories about her, which doesn’t suprise me at all, given that NeNe was just outed for leaking stories about herself. Kenya joked, “What stories has she not leaked about me?!”
