If you’ve been watching Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, you would know very well that the marriage of Kenya Moore and Marc Daly was in pretty poor shape. On the last episode, that fact imploded during a train wreck of a charity event that the couple supposedly threw together. I say “supposedly” because anyone who watched could see that Kenya did all the work. Meanwhile, Marc did all of the complaining (and none of the thanking). As if their on-air tension wasn’t high enough for us all to see the writing on the wall, producers decided to spell it out for us. At the end of the episode, we were told that the couple announced the very next day that they will be seeking a divorce.
I can’t imagine anyone being surprised. Every on-camera interaction between the two felt tumultuous. Every off-camera story about him implied that he didn’t care for or appreciate his marriage to Kenya. Seeing it on screen was one thing. But, the castmates who saw it live had plenty to say about it as well. Some of them even questioned the validity of the marriage to begin with.
On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, both NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton sat down with host Andy Cohen and took the time to shade express their feelings on the matter. A fan asked Marlo if she still believes Kenya and Marc were never legally married. Marlo immediately said she still stands by that sentiment. Despite the question not being addressed to her, NeNe couldn’t help herself and jumped in saying,”WE stand by that”.
We heard rumblings of this when Kenya got married and left the show. I just assumed it was annoyed castmates trying their hand at knocking Kenya down a few pegs. I didn’t think she would actually fake a whole marriage and have a baby with him for show but I might be in the minority here.

Marlo told Andy, “I just don’t know a woman who would marry a man who talks to her that way.”
I would have to agree with that. Still, wouldn’t it be safe to assume that maybe he didn’t always speak to her this way? They didn’t know each other very long. Just like Marc didn’t know all of the many sides of Kenya, Kenya probably didn’t know every side of Marc either.
NeNe continued to snipe, “All of her men are gone with the wind. They come they go.” To which Marlo adds a final dig, “She can’t even keep a broke man.” Ouch.

I know NeNe and Marlo are the last people who would be speaking kind or supportive words about Kenya. Nevertheless, I think they should give her an ounce of compassion over this.
After all that time, NeNe has spent telling the viewers that she tried to make amends with Kenya, it would be nice for once if her words matched up to her actions. Legal marriage or not, Kenya is the only one losing in this storyline now.
