Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Stars Are Featured In HBO Max’s New Show About The Royal Family Called The Prince

Who doesn’t love a good reality TV binge? My recents have been Love is Blind: After the Altar on Netflix, restarting Married to Medicine on the ever-faithful Bravo, and F Boy Island on HBO. After racing through the three released episodes of F Boy Island on HBO, I stumbled upon the animated series The Prince.

The Prince, on HBO Max, is a fictional and grandiose depiction of what it could be like inside the royal family in the modern era. The show was created by Instagram memester Gary Janetti who has taken on a Prince George-like persona through his account. His popularity on Insta has apparently translated into creating his own show following Prince George, Meghan MarkleQueen Elizabeth, and the rest of the royal family. My favorite part? A hefty cameo from the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills across a few of the early episodes.

*Spoilers ahead* – is that even a thing for a scripted animated series? I’m in a Big Brother haze and not sure how serious everyone is taking their television these days. One of the main storylines on The Prince is following Meghan and Prince Harry as they navigate their way through life after leaving the royal family. Meghan is forced to find work while Harry is depicted as stumbling to so much as pour a glass of water or remember his own child’s name. All the stress leads Meghan to accept a spot on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Lucky for Meghan, the women of RHOBH on the show accept her with mostly open arms. I won’t say much about their time on the show, but you can expect some Prince Harry/Harry Hamlin puns, Lisa Rinna in some cheetah print, and a solid go at Dorit Kemsely’s “British” style accent. The best part? Each of the women shown on The Prince did their own voice!

Of course, Erika Jayne didn’t miss her opportunity to add a little jingle to her coin purse these days. She was on Instagram promoting the show by posting a scene featuring herself and old pal Lisa Rinna at lunch. Erika’s caption was simple and said, “Go watch #theprinceon @hbomax !!!”

Dorit, who may be looking for some side-work herself soon, also showed The Prince some love. She shared a clip of her character and Kyle Richards’ tickling the guards at Buckingham Palace. Her caption said, “Check out #ThePrince, streaming now on @hbomax”

Meanwhile, Garcelle Beauvais and Lisa posted their own favorite clips to their grids. They shared a very similar caption. Garcelle’s said, “Will I ever be invited to the real Buckingham Palace? Doubtful. Will I pretend by watching this episode of #ThePrince on @HBOMax on repeat? Absolutely. Should you do the same? Most definitely.” While Lisa’s said, “Will I ever get invited to the real Buckingham Palace? Doubtful. But we can all pretend, right? Check out The Prince, streaming now on HBO Max.”

I neglected to mention Teddi Mellencamp is also depicted on the show. Gone and almost forgotten. So there you have it. If you’re needing a slight intermission between all that reality TV goodness we’ve got going this summer, The Prince may be just what you need before getting back to the Erika Jayne show RHOBH this week.
