Bravo Subpoenaed For Unaired Footage Of Erika Jayne

Erika Jayne’s legal troubles are mounting. And they don’t show any signs of stopping. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star remains defiant on social media. But she can’t seem to escape the lawsuits for her alleged role in husband Tom Girardi’s purported embezzlement.

We’ve watched Erika spend the season trying to justify her divorce and Tom’s supposed mental decline. Seems like she was building up her defense from the get go. And we were all wondering why she would be doing all of this on film. Seems like a bad idea, no? Well, it likely was.

Fox News is now reporting that lawyers involved in a case against Erika have subpoenaed Bravo producers. They are asking for unaired footage of this season. Attorney Jay Edelson, who has a lawsuit pending against Erika explained. He said, “We believe that Bravo has hundreds of hours of unaired footage, as well as documentary evidence, which directly relates to this case. So far, Bravo has chosen to use the Girardi embezzlement scandal to increase ratings and make significant money for itself.”

Jay continued, “The victims have had to endure watching the ‘Real Housewives’ cast do things like eat caviar pie and drink specially-made vodka served by white-gloved staff as they pay lip service to the lives Tom has ruined. The victims have watched Erika cry crocodile tears as she is ‘forced’ to move into a $10,000-a-month apartment while she and her glam squad parade around in a lifestyle few of us will ever know.” Well, he’s not wrong. It’s hard to feel any kind of sympathy for Erika’s situation. And that’s even if we did think she was telling the truth. Which we don’t.

At this point, Jay is imploring Bravo to “stop protecting” Erika. Jay went on, “We are hoping that Bravo changes course and decides to stop protecting Erika and its own bottom line and not make a bad decision to impair our investigation and help us recover much needed money for the victims.”

But Erika’s attorney, Evan Borges, isn’t taking this one laying down. Evan said in a statement, “The subpoena sounds like a fishing expedition or desperation move if it is directed at Erika. I keep explaining that there is no hidden treasure, which we have supported by providing counsel for the bankruptcy trustee with all relevant bank account and financial information in Erika’s possession.”

He added, “There’s only a small amount of additional information that I need to provide to the trustee, which, along with everything else we’ve provided, shows that Erika’s divorce filing was for legitimate reasons, and she has been trying to make it on her own.”

So far, no word from Bravo on the matter.
