Real Housewives of Orange County reunion Kelly Dodd

Kelly Dodd Claims Tamra Judge Told Her That Heather Dubrow “100% Had Something To Do With” Her Firing From Real Housewives

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd claimed that she was “happier” after she was fired from the show. Those feelings were short-lived. Kelly is pissed that she was fired, and that Heather Dubrow returned to pop the champs on RHOC. Heather and Kelly have been feuding for years.

In June of 2021, Kelly and her husband, Rick Leventhal, posted a video on her Instagram Story alleging that they got Covid-19 from Heather’s teenage son. “We got COVID on New Year’s,” Kelly said. “Heather Dubrow’s son gave it to us.” @realhousewives on Instagram shared the video. I’m sure it couldn’t have been from Kelly’s unbothered and dismissive stance on the coronavirus.

Well, the Dubrow family’s attorney sent Kelly a letter, and she filmed a video apology. Hello, sarcasm! LoveAndyC on Twitter shared the apology video. It seems that Kelly’s favorite topic in the world is Heather. On their podcast, Rick & Kelly UNMASKED, Kelly claimed that Heather was demoted, and that is why she left RHOC after Season 11.

Kelly even stooped so low as to heckle Heather and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, when they were having dinner in a restaurant. Kelly posted videos ridiculing the couple, calling them “losers” with “zero friends.” For good measure, Kelly commented, “Should I ask these a–holes why they’re suing me? Terry and Heather. Why are they suing me?” The answer to that question is blatantly obvious to everyone except Kelly and her husband.

Heather called Kelly’s dinnertime spying “sad” and “pathetic.” The actress added, “Kelly seems to talk about me a lot, so at this point I don’t know whether to be really flattered that she’s so obsessed with me or sad for her that she has no other content.”

Heather previously said that she was more likely to come back to the franchise if Kelly was no longer a cast member. But Heather denied playing a role in Kelly’s firing. “I think you would know that anyone that thinks they have that kind of power on a show like this is really very misguided,” she remarked.

According to The Showbiz CheatSheet, Kelly said that Heather was behind her firing on the Behind the Velvet Rope with David Yontef podcast. And that RHOC alum Tamra Judge confirmed Kelly’s suspicions.

Tamra told me 100% [she was fired because Dubrow returned]. Tamra told me,” Kelly stated. “And Tamra’s friends with everybody. So, Tamra said that she had 100% had something to do with it.”

Rick commented, “Basically they came to her and asked her to be on the show and [it] sounds like it’s very likely, as she said, only if Kelly’s not on. And they decided they would rather have her than Kelly because Kelly causes so many problems,” he added. Wait–is Rick having a moment of clarity? No. I’m sure he was just shading Heather.

Kelly then went on to slam most of the remaining RHOC cast. Kelly was shocked that Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter were not let go, because while they are great people, “they’re not TV entertainment.”

“What are they gonna do with Gina [Kirschenheiter]. I know Gina’s a cool person and Emily [Simpson]. I mean, they’re not there to sustain,” Kelly remarked.

Then Kelly brought up Nicole James, who was reportedly demoted because of a botched boob job performed by Terry. “And then they hire Nicole James, and she quits in the middle of the [show]. You know, she just didn’t show up,” Kelly said. “She just didn’t go because she couldn’t get a vaccine like that.” Say what now? And Kelly stated that newbie Jennifer Armstrong “is boring than a doornail.”

Kelly is a big fan of rookie Housewife Noella Bergener. “And then you have Noella [Bergener]. Which I think is going to probably save the show. Because she has a lot going on,” Kelly explained. That’s the understatement of the year!

She continued, “I think she’s a great hire. That one. She’s beautiful. She’s got a lot going on in her life. But I think that was a good one.”
