Garcelle Beauvais isn’t above extending a little bit of empathy. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been heavily featured in the upcoming drama on season 12. And so has Erika Jayne, whose constant legal battles might be getting the best of her. When the new RHOBH trailer dropped, it alleged that Erika might be using alcohol and pills to get her through tough times.
Garcelle has previously been critical of Erika’s actions after finding out that husband Tom Girardi was allegedly bilking clients out of their settlement money. Back in February, Garcelle said of Erika,“There’s so much more that she could do, even if she’s not guilty of knowing everything that Tom was doing.” Looks like Garcelle is trying to keep that same energy. Even though the two have allegedly been fighting all throughout filming the upcoming season.
As reported by Radar Online, Garcelle acknowledged of her castmate, “She’s going through — it’s tough. I mean, look at her life. To go from the highs to figuring all that stuff out. I feel for her.” This sounds like a stark contrast to the spat we saw between Erika and Garcelle during the almost 3 minute long montage. Erika, speaking in the third person, asks Garcelle,“ Is that to make Erika look bad, or is that out of genuine concern?” To which Garcelle replies, “Erika, I don’t have to make you look bad; you can do that on your own.”
Garcelle admitted of the teaser, “I was shocked to see the trailer, too. We don’t get to see it, so we saw it when you guys saw it. But I was like, ‘Wow.’ It looks good!” Indeed it does.
It does seem as though things have since soured between the two housewives. After Garcelle featured a the clip of their heated exchange on her Instagram to cheekily promote her book, Erika was not laughing. Erika promptly posted a video to her Instagram stories, throwing Garcelle’s book in the trash. She also accused Garcelle of using her to sell her book on a Twitter rant. Erika seethed, “No need to use my name or very complicated legal and personal problems to sell her book. She has enough friends to help her.”
