Signs That The Valley Will Factor Into VPR Season 11

To be perfectly honest, I am already over The Valley as a spin-off concept and want Vanderpump Rules to wrap it up as well. It became abundantly clear that Season 10 of VPR was supposed to be the last. Lisa Vanderpump even made a very moving speech to end the series’ long time run. The original show has been airing since 2013. While it was once a cultural phenomenon, the seasons have started to show their age, with fans growing tired of the WeHo group.

However, Scandoval breathed new life into the franchise and gave Bravo the idea for a new concept. With some of the OGs returning to claim their spot, I can’t help but wonder how the spin-off will be affected by the show that came before it. I’d like to see a bit of originality from The Valley. Hopefully it doesn’t just piggyback off the formula of Vanderpump Rules. But a part of me already knows that this new group won’t be winning me over. I’ll probably end up scrolling through the channels to the Alaskan Bush People or something.

But whether we want it or not, the new Vanderpump Rules spin-off is coming, maybe sooner than viewers think. There are indications that The Valley will factor into VPR Season 11. Fans could be getting a peek at the new show before it even premieres.

Full Circle Moment

Just like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills did with Vanderpump Rules, it looks like The Valley will get a segment to introduce itself when Season 11 airs. When Vanderpump Rules first made its mark, the transition scene was set thanks to Lisa inviting cameras into SUR. Almost immediately, fans were hooked. It helped that Scheana Shay and Brandi Glanville had a storyline on RHOBH, so the connection made sense to most viewers. And it was nice to see how Lisa made her money off the back of her famous goat cheese balls.

The trailer for Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules showed Jax Taylor and Lisa sitting down for a long-awaited catch-up. But naturally, the conversation took a turn. Jax was caught telling his former boss, “You wrote me off,” with Lisa firing back, “You’re a fu*king hypocrite!” I have a guess that the conversation was referring to when he was fired from the series in 2020 for his part in the racist scandal with Faith Stowers. It also didn’t help that Jax mocked his co-stars’ mental state and, overall, was extremely rude towards women. My mind is still boggled that Bravo is giving him another chance.

And Just Like That

It is pretty iconic that Bravo will use a transitional scene to introduce a whole new series. As to not confuse viewers, executive producer Alex Baskin told Deadline that they would use a conversation between Jax and Tom Sandoval. “It’s Jax getting in a few words with Tom — he’s been waiting for this moment,” the EP revealed. “And then he heads over the hill, and we’re in a new series. So that’s fun.”

And by over the hill, they don’t mean his 50th birthday party, but rather their Valley Village homes that rest in between Sherman Oaks and Beverly Hills. According to Alex, there will be other crossovers as there will be “a few other appearances in both directions.”

A New Beginning

The Valley is set to premiere in the spring. The cast of the new spin-off includes OGs like Kristen Doute, Brittany Cartwright, and Jax. On The Valley, they’ll all get a fresh start after they were let go from Vanderpump Rules. Kristen was fired along with Stassi Schroeder after the network learned the duo called the police on Faith for a crime she didn’t commit. However, after Scandoval broke in the Summer of 2023, the cameras picked back up and caught some of the OGs comforting Ariana Madix in her time of need.

The spin-off is set to focus on the OGs and their new group of friends as they leave SUR and the Pump-tinis behind for a life of adulting and parenthood. Along with Kristen, Brittany, and Jax, the cast will include Luke Broderick, Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Jesse Lally, Michelle Lally, Jason Caperna, and Janet Caperna. Personally, I’m not looking forward to The Valley as it feels like a bootleg version of VPR. But the cast seems excited to have a hit on their hands, hopefully.
