The ladies of Real Housewives Of Dallas entered the ring with their guns blazing, their stilettos sharpened like razors, and their eyes shooting daggers through the 64 layers of wet look eyeshadow. Their dresses are designed to blind, confuse, and kill as all the sequins reflect off everyone’s egos causing insanity.
I actually think Andy Cohen was on fire last night and was a great moderator; pushing back against the nastiness and crap.
This reunion is all about D’Andra Simmons, and her feuds with literally everyone. Which is apt because the very first thing that was discussed was Beaver Creek and the fight D’Andra had with LeeAnne Locken over who is the queen of Real Housewives Of Dallas.
Y’all. LeeAnne Locken has stolen the show with her meditative bowls and never-ending dress situation. Sure, on the last season of Real Housewives of Dallas, LeeAnne was scaring us all with sordid details about the Round-Up and her murder hands. Lately, Brandi Redmond has actually made LeeAnne somewhat (somewhat, but not really) sympathetic to viewers. Not to mention, it was nice to see her getting along with Stephanie Hollman and finding an ally in Kameron Wescott as her friendship with D’Andra Simmons crumbled.
LeeAnne has a lot to say about Brandi’s behavior this season, and she finds it laughable that her nemesis could stir up trouble and start fights only to cry the victim card. Hmmmm…does that pattern sound familiar to her? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so perhaps LeeAnne should take Brandi’s boorishness as a compliment. Regardless, I cannot wait for the RHOD reunion tonight!
Sure, the other women brought some comedic relief and even some enlightening moments. However, the discord between LeeAnne and her two former friends was the crux of the season… and most likely the upcoming reunion episodes.
Brandi Redmond’s attempts to prove she doesn’t have a drinking problem may, in fact, cause a drinking problem, but at least she’s having fun, right? I kid. She certainly wasn’t having a blast at Stephanie Hollman’s frat party on last week’s finale. Instead, the pink pooch princess and her condescending nod stepped into Brandi’s party girl role…and into the foam pit. Revisiting the pitfalls of Dallas society (to which she’d never fall victim!). Kameron Wescotteven has some kind words for D’Andra Simmons. Color me a pastel shade of shocked!
With D’Andra Simmons as her new ride or die, Brandi takes great offense to Kameron Westcott’s blind loyalty to LeeAnne. RHOD is one of my favorite Housewives franchises (don’t judge me!), but I prefer Brandi and Stephanie’s fun antics and disregard for Dallas society’s rules. This beef with LeeAnne isn’t a good look on Brandi. She’s doing a good job of making her nemesis look far less crazed than seasons past!
I just don’t even know where to begin. Who provoked whom, who started what, who did such and such illegal thing… Brandi and LeeAnne are a two-headed snake biting its own tail after getting confused by all the excess weave hair in their faces. They should just go to couples therapy and be done with it. I can’t pick a winner or a loser here. Well, I can pick a winner, but it’s Stephanie Hollman. Stephanie ‘PH–king’ Hollman.
However, so many good things did happen for the ladies of Dallas last night! Stephanie bought a foam machine. LeeAnne picked a date and wedding location. D’Andra Simmons got a company. Woot!
These two had a brief friendship at the start of Season 2, but other than that, they can’t be in the same room without arguing. Tonight’s episode is no different. To top it all off, they’re all dressed up for a college-themed party at Stephanie Hollman’s house. There are few things more entertaining than Real Housewivestrying to be serious while wearing ridiculous costumes. Brandi wears a cheerleader costume and it looks like LeeAnne borrowed an outfit from Clueless character Cher Horowitz.
