LeeAnne Locken

D'Andra Simmons Kary Brittingham

We need to help Kary Brittingham. A rogue bandit in the night must have entered her home and stolen all of the televisions because girlfriend is clearly not watching the current season of Real Housewives of Dallas. Kary joined RHOD in 2019 and was actually brought on as a friend of D’Andra Simmons. Thanks to LeeAnne Locken’s inability to have any semblance of tact, Kary found herself at the center of a storyline she never asked for, but one that sealed her spot on the show.

Cut to Kary’s second trip around the Bravo sun and, Dallas Houston, we have a problem. You know it’s bad when Jen Shah can be indicted for wire fraud, but still somehow retain a bigger fan base than Kary who hasn’t scammed elderly people. Allegedly. Kary has made a poor impression upon new cast member, Tiffany Moon and her old friendship with D’Andra is currently in jeopardy. Now Kary is saying she and D’Andra don’t have a genuine friendship anyway. So that begs the question, who wants to be friends with Kary?

Kary Brittingham Real Housewives Of Dallas

Kary Brittingham is on her second season of Real Housewives of Dallas and it seems the Sophomore Curse is right on schedule. Last year we saw Kary suffering from the impact of former cast member LeeAnne Locken’s harsh words against her culture. This season we watch as Brandi Redmond navigates her own incredibly tone deaf actions against the Asian community. Suffice to say, some people are better seen than heard.

But make no mistake, Kary definitely wants to be heard. When viewers first met Tiffany Moon, Kary put her through the wringer. She joined the rest of the cast in mocking food at Tiffany’s dim sum event. She also appeared to haze the newbie as if she were pledging a sorority of middle-aged tequila aficionados. Kary has also been on some kind of lowkey mission to poke and prod D’Andra Simmons whenever the opportunity presents itself. Now Kary is apparently upset at how she’s coming across on camera. Go figure.

Kameron Westcott is devoted to Sparkledog

To say Real Housewives of Dallas star Brandi Redmond has had a tumultuous couple of years is putting it mildly. After publicly berating former cast member LeeAnne Locken for making fun of Kary Brittingham’s heritage, Brandi found herself at the center of her own tone deaf drama. In an odd coincidence, after Brandi made a video mocking Asians, RHOD’s first Asian cast member came on board for Season 5. Now Brandi often struggles making basic conversation when newbie Tiffany Moon is in the room.

Brandi’s family also suffered a devastating loss. Bryan Redmond’s mom lost her life in a car accident that included Brandi’s daughter in the vehicle. Thankfully, Brinkley Redmond wasn’t injured. After Brandi announced a surprise pregnancy, it seemed the black clouds were beginning to part. Unfortunately, a nasty little rumor never that seemed to go away suddenly gained more fuel. In the past, people have side-eyed Bryan’s fidelity. Earlier this month, a video leaked that seemingly looked like Bryan getting busy at da club with a woman, who was definitely not Brandi. Now Kameron Westcott shares her thoughts on… The Bryan Tapes.

Kameron Westcott D'Andra Simmons

D’Andra Simmons‘ finances are none of my business, but I have always been pretty perplexed by her financial situation. I remember when LeeAnne Locken said she had $200 in her bank account and Brandi Redmond got D’Andra a necklace she wanted but didn’t (or couldn’t?) buy at the time.

We’ve seen D’Andra ask her mom Momma Dee Simmons to cut back her money received from their company. We’ve seen a lot of confusing conversations between them about their company and family finances. This season. D’Andra talked about the drama behind her late father’s second will and how the money she received put her at odds with some family members. It’s all so confusing to me (and again, none of my business), but it seems like D’Andra and her company are doing much better these days.

Real Housewives of Dallas recap

During the Real Housewives of Dallas Season 4 reunion, Brandi Redmond claimed that she was so upset with LeeAnne Locken for her comments about Kary Brittingham’s Mexican heritage that she walked off stage and grabbed a folding chair, demanding that LeeAnne sat there instead because she didn’t want to be on the same couch.

After taping that reunion, a video resurfaced of Brandi mocking Asians, doing what she thought was a “comedic” impression and squinting her eyes. Pot, meet kettle. After that, Brandi received backlash and then she checked into a wellness center. On the show, Brandi told Stephanie Hollman that she had suicidal thoughts as she dealt with the fallout from the scandal. Tiffany Moon, who is Chinese, spoke to Brandi about how the video made her feel on the first day that they met. Talk about setting the tone.

Kenya Moore

Before Bravo made reality stars out of people who don’t actually live in reality, the ladies featured on our shows had to pay the bills. Some of them were still on their first faces and first marriages. Quite a few of them were dipping their toes in the world of acting. The women on Real Housewives of Atlanta all come from various entertainment backgrounds and had pretty close encounters with fame.

Kandi Burruss is probably the most successful businesswoman currently on the show. Back in the 90’s Kandi’s group Xscape was a thing, and there was a time when nothing but TLC songs Kandi wrote played on the local radio station. Obviously Cynthia Bailey was one of the first mainstream Black models and opened the door during a time when women of color were not highlighted on magazine covers. And then we have Kenya Moore. Back in the stone ages 1993, Kenya won the Miss America USA title and managed to receive some onset accolades from a VERY famous diva. Spoiler alert, Kenya was terrified of her.

Tiffany Moon Real Housewives Of Dallas

Many Real Housewives of Dallas fans thought the cast would have nothing to talk about LeeAnne Locken’s absence. But, Tiffany Moon has done more than fill that void. She has been confronting every single cast member (except for D’Andra Simmons) in these episodes and on social media.

On the most recent episode, Tiffany wanted to have the women over so they could get to know her better and have fun. She decided to have a pizza party, which sounds good. We all love pizza, right? Well, Tiffany’s pizza party included an end time, which she thought was considerate, but some of them thought it was uptight/rude. She has the women wear shoe covers, which makes sense (to an extent). Who wants an expensive floor to get scuffed up? But, did she really have to yell out for shoe covers as Brandi Redmond rushed to the bathroom to throw up? The party did not go well. Not by a long shot.

Tiffany Moon Real Housewives Of Dallas

Thank you Tiffany Moon for revitalizing The Real Housewives of Dallas. There was a huge hole missing with LeeAnne Locken’s exit. A large portion of the Real Housewives of Dallas cast is either uninformed, trying too hard, or plain unlikable. However, Tiffany is BRINGING it in her freshman season. She has a stellar career. She’s cultured and hilarious. Tiffany doesn’t hold her tongue either. She’s the total package for a Housewife.

Kary Brittingham on the other hand has been insufferable. A lot of this is because of her constant attacks and nitpicking over every little thing. She won’t lay off of D’Andra Simmons, and she’s come for Tiffany as well. While she should probably be focusing on her children’s issues, she’s busy complaining about warm tequila shots. Her priorities are clearly in check this season. How long before D’Andra totally snaps and cuts her out?
