The Real Housewives of Potomac cast return tonight with a new season. Candiace Dillard and Chris Bassett throw a party to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They invite everyone who has ever been a part of the cast, even the new girl Wendy Osefo. However, Ashley Darby and her husband Michael Darby are not included on the guest list, which Ashley claims doesn’t bother her while she adjusts to her new life as a mom. Oh, and this party is “denim and diamonds” themed. Yikes.
It seems like Monique Samuels and Candiace are working on their friendship after feuding last season, but anyone who follows their lives in between seasons knows that peace will not last for very long and it’s going to get very ugly at some point in the season.
Real Housewives of Potomac season 4 was fire. The show has been getting better and better every year. We were all so excited for the ladies to return for the season 5 premiere in May. However, unfortunately, the premiere was very vaguely pushed back until “summer 2020.”
Because of the pandemic, there are very few shows that are filmed and ready to go. Additionally, it just takes longer for the editors to put the editors together from home in comparison to when they are in their normal offices. Plus, other Bravo shows had to put filming on hold, meaning that at some point, they’re bound to be out of new episodes. Yes, it made total sense to push back the premiere, but the news was still a major bummer to the Real Housewives of Potomac fans.
Every year, Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant’s tagline has something to do with “the word on the street.” Well, the “word on the street” was that Gizelle’s
cheating ex-husband/current boyfriend Pastor Jamal Bryant fathered a child with a member of his congregation.
During the Season 4 reunion, Gizelle revealed that she was back with the father of her three children, giving us all Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon-esque hopes. So, is the word on the street actually accurate. Let’s see what Jamal has to say.
Real Housewives of Atlanta fans haven’t heard these words in a hot minute: “Mr. Chocolate.” All the way back during RHOA Season 7, Phaedra Parks was rumored to be dating a guy known as “Mr. Chocolate”… while she was still married to Apollo Nida.
Even with the text print-outs, Phaedra denied the cheating allegation, but the mystery remained. Or at least it did. Andy Cohen spilled the tea on that man’s identity.
Real Housewives of Potomac is back for Season 4. Most of the ladies are at their peak petty right out of the gate. Mainly, Gizelle Byant and Karen Huger. Gizelle persuaded her daughters to bake cookies for a grieving Karen. Gizelle bombarded Karen with a phone call when she was a few minutes away from her Great Falls home. Obviously, she wanted to catch the Grand Dame off guard while she was on camera.
Karen wasn’t going to fall for that though. During Gizelle’s first call, Karen told her not to come over. When she called again, Karen said that her mysterious friend Matt Byars would meet her at the door instead. In response, Gizelle refused to deal with Matt, who she dislikes for no discernible reason. So what was Gizelle thinking durring what is bound to be labeled as cookiegate?
Gizelle Bryant is not mincing words when it comes to her two younger castmates’ behavior on this week’s Real Housewives of Potomac! Whether it’s in defense of the dirt dug up on her good friend Robyn Dixon, or the eye bleach
we all needed after witnessing Katie Rost publicly swap spit with her boyfriend Andrew, Gizelle is ready to call it like she sees it.
But first, a few words about her ex-hubby, Pastor Jamal Bryant, who made an appearance on RHOP for lunch with their kiddos. Gizelle explains, “My girls absolutely love spending time and doing fun things with both their parents. Jamal and I love our kids and want to see them happy so anytime we get together it is nothing but fun and laughs. As a divorced parent my responsibility is to make the best situation possible for my kids and anything less is just selfish.”

The green-eyed breakout star of Bravo’s new hopeful hit, The Real Housewives of Potomac, Gizelle Bryant, appears as if she has it all–beauty, brains and wealth, but life has not always been a crystal stair for her, particularly married life. Bryant reveals how her “best friend,” ex-husband and megachurch pastor Pastor Jamal Bryant was reportedly a serial cheater and how she has learned to move past it.
Gizelle and Jamal, who have three daughters together, were a power couple married for seven years. The former model says that the years she spent with her husband were “blissful,” until she discovered not only had he been unfaithful but had reportedly, fathered an illegitimate child during their union, “I decided I was not going to continue to stay in a relationship in which there was not a major commitment. I’m an old-fashioned girl and if you’re going to commit, commit.”
