Tom Schwartz Discusses His Restaurant With Lisa Vanderpump, Kids With Katie Maloney, & Stassi Schroeder’s Breakup

Unfortunately, fans still have to wait a while for new episodes of Vanderpump Rules. Sure there’s the Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright spin-off to tide us over, but that’s not the same. Nothing beats having the whole crew together, turning up, offending each other, and still (somehow) remaining friends.

In the mean time, Tom Schwartz opened up a little bit about what to expect when the show returns. The restaurant with Lisa Vanderpump and Tom Sandoval is happening – slowly, but surely. He and Katie Maloney seem to be doing well in their first year of marriage and Tom is publicly discussing the possibility of expanding their family.

Tom couldn’t reveal too many details, but he did hint about the upcoming Pump Rules season during an interview for the Reality Life With Kate Casey podcast.

Kate asked him to confirm if he’s really opening up a restaurant with Sandoval and Lisa. Schwartz said, “That’s happening. I don’t know how much I’m allowed to disclose about that, but it’s happening.” Now this would be a spin-off show that makes sense! Schwartz also said, “If I could design the perfect woman, she would probably resemble Lisa Vanderpump.”

The topic of kids also came up. Schwartz revealed, “It’s definitely on the horizon. I love kids. She loves kids. I just don’t think we’re both quite there, you know?”

In stark contrast to last season (pre-wedding, of course), everything seems all good on the Tom and Katie front. However, their third wheel Stassi Schroeder has really been struggling with her latest breakup from Patrick Meagher. She finally got him to film Vanderpump Rules, they were posting cute Instagrams together, and then boom: they broke up just before they were supposed to embark on an anniversary trip to Mexico. Stassi still went on the trip and documented every tear and shot via social media. Schwartz added, “I think she had a bit of a public meltdown, which is unlike her because although we live in a public forum, usually she keeps that stuff somewhat to herself when we’re not filming. She kind of had a little mini meltdown. It was kind of endearing.” Poor Stassi.

When discussing the new season, Schwartz said, “It’s really good. I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say at this point. We’re still shooting, but it’s so good.”

Tom continued, “I would say we kind of got back in touch with our roots. Not necessarily in a good way. It got really sloppy, but there were a lot of really happy, positive moments, too. I’m still processing everything that happened. It was truly a whirlwind of a season and so much happened. I’m still sort of reflecting.” I’m envisioning the cast getting “sloppy” on a group vacation just like the old days and I’m getting all nostalgic and hopeful for what’s to come.

Schwartz continued being the most likable person on Vanderpump Rules when he emphasized, “It’s an honor to be a part of the show.” Aaaww.
