The NY Post is reporting that Victoria de Lesseps, daughter of Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, was quietly expelled from her private school months ago after a video of her rolling what appeared to be a joint and using a racial slur appeared online.
Sources tell the Post Victoria was asked to leave the Tony Ross School in the Hamptons after the video episode, but LuAnn denies the report to Page Six, instead stating Victoria left the school on her own.
The Real Housewives of NYCstar’s rep tells the Post, “Your information is incorrect. Victoria withdrew from Ross School five months ago, but it was unrelated to the video. She is happily looking forward to studying art in Paris this summer.” When did this video come out you ask? Exactly five months ago but remember, it was completely unrelated.
In the video, which we were able to view before it was taken down from youtube, Victoria was video chatting with a friend before she started rolling what appeared to be a joint and continuously using the “n-word.” You can read more about that here. And days after the video leaked online, photos of the 16-year-old came out showing her drinking and smoking. LuAnn issued a statement back then calling her daughter’s actions “unacceptable.” Tuition at the private school is said to run upward of $45,000 a year.
Meanwhile, one of our readers alerted us to an old unflattering report from the NY Post about the Countess. See back in August 2008 (before our blog existed), the Post reported the Countess, along with her then husband the Count Alexandre de Lesseps, attended a wedding in the Hamptons and acted like a drunken mess in front of 200 guests.
The Post reported LuAnn yanked the mike away from Andy Hilfiger’s band and proceeded to sing two songs. “She knocked over the drum set while smiling at the horrified guests,” a source said.
Oh but if only it ended there. LuAnn then turned her attention to the poor unsuspecting guests. “She was trying to make out with women and married men,” the source said. “A pregnant wife caught her in the act, stormed off and walked home in disgust.” The Count “tried to make her leave and was seen throwing her to the ground in the parking lot,” the spy continued.
“She wasn’t just kissing the married men, she was also grabbing their [crotches],” another witness told the Post. Yikes! And while LuAnn and her husband denied the allegations to the Post, the groom stated, “At these parties, people always get frisky. All I can say is that she didn’t try to grab me.”
Less than a year later, LuAnn would go on to write a book about class and etiquette. You know what they say dahling — “Money Can’t Buy You Class.”
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON BOTH OF THE REPORTS BY THE POST? SHOCKED BY LUANN’S PAST BEHAVIOR?
It is finally over. The final part of the Real Housewives of New York City reunion show aired last night, and we got some resolution to some of the biggest issues of the season.
We start off with a continuation of Kelly Bensimon’s delusions. After spewing out her bullying crap against the women, Kelly decides to do her best Jill impersonation when she decides to storm of the show, like a brat not getting her way. In all honesty, Kelly leaving the stage for those few minutes ended up being my favorite part of the show. At this point, like Ramona, I just couldn’t anymore. I mean this woman was just making up events that never happened. It was extremely frustrating as a viewer to see her take no responsibility for her actions and on top of that, just sit there and lie over and over and over again. This is why I could definitely understand why Ramona, Sonja, and Bethenny felt the need to interrupt her lies.
Bethenny sums it up best when she says, “She just makes up whatever she wants to say. She’s going to tell me she’s an African American Asian woman in a minute. And we’re like okay, no, you’re not.” Alex and Sonja echo what I’ve been saying all along, which is if there was any bullying going on during the trip, it was being done by Kelly, who continually attacked the women, interrupted their conversations, and even called them “demented” to their face because they chose to gossip about Jill.
In the midst of LuAnn snickering like a high school mean girl, we also hear once again that Kelly was sent home by the producers and did not leave the trip on her own accord, as she has claimed. Kelly returns, and I really find myself hoping she had stayed away longer. Kelly once again attacks Bethenny and claims Bethenny, who we all saw cooking numerous times during the trip, did not cook.
Sonja asks Kelly when she bullied her, during which Kelly shares that Sonja was actually a friend to her on the trip and was there for her. In addition to Sonja, I find myself asking when did Alex bully Kelly on this trip? What we saw was Kelly randomly unleash a verbal attack on Alex, telling her she looked like a vampire and was channeling the devil.
It seems when Kelly doesn’t like what the other women are saying ,she attacks them. Kelly accuses Sonja of drinking too much, thus not remembering the systematic bullying she was a part of. She then tells Ramona her blood type is Pinot Grigio. Kelly accuses the women of being hateful and jealous of her, and at this point, I’m all but tired of listening to this insane rambling. Fortunately, we get a commercial break.
Wanted to add the following quote made by a commenter yesterday. MamaSays had the following to say –
“Every time they show a clip of someone addressing how fragile or crazy Kelly is in her presence she is seen nodding or looking a little vulnerable. This tells me that she is accustomed to having people discuss her mental state in front of her and, to me at least. shows that this is something that has occurred at least a few times before.”
Amazing insight by this reader. How many times was Kelly called crazy to her face? How many times did she appear physcially upset or even deny being crazy? I agree that at age 42, there’s about a 100% chance Scary Island wasn’t the first time Kelly had an “episode.”
Next up is Jill, and the topic of Jill getting kicked off Scary Island is brought up. Jill is ready to once again go into victim mode. Sonja speaks out, and unlike Kelly, actually makes sense. Sonja doesn’t believe Jill was sincere in coming on the trip to make up with Bethenny. Why? Well for one, Bethenny only lived a block away from Jill back in NYC. You know, a trip that would only have required 10 minutes of her time, and not 9 hours.
Victim Jill continues, “And by the way Ramona, thanks for asking me or Bobby if we wanted a drink of water or bathroom cause after nine hours of traveling….” said Jill, who earlier claimed she flew via a private jet. Apparently, private jets don’t offer water or bathrooms, and neither do airports. The only victim in this situation is Bawbee, who allowed his wife to drag him into this mess.
Jill, who by this point has watched Kelly’s off the wall behavior in St. John, now informs us she can relate to Kelly because of the way she was also treated by the bullies. Jill’s odd defense for Kelly didn’t end at the reunion show, as weeks later, she did an interview during which she compared Kelly’s bullying plight to that of Phoebe Prince. In case you’re wondering, Phoebe is the teenage girl who took her life this year because she was being bullied her some of her high school peers. Yes, Jill went there. But back to the show, for some reason, Jill decides Alex is to blame for the public backlash against her, the BP oil spill, and of course being kicked off St. John by Ramona. I’m guessing Jill’s four media consultants advised her to attack Alex and defend the crazy woman at all costs.
Kelly accuses Alex of being an actress and faking her anxiety at seeing Jill in St. John, and at this point, I really just want this woman to zip it, so that I can hear the sane people arguing. Jill apologizes to Ramona and Ramona appears to accept, despite Jill’s blog on Monday accusing her co-stars of not forgiving her. Jill takes things up a notch when she breaks out the crocodile tears and decides to proclaim that being kicked of Scary Island was “the most painful thing I ever experienced in my life.” Really Jill? More painful than Bobby’s cancer? And if at this point, anyone is still buying this woman’s act, then well I don’t know what to tell ya…
It’s now LuAnn‘s turn in the hot seat and the first part that stands out is when Andy asks LuAnn if her former husband, Count Alex de Lesseps, does not like jews. This is basically Andy asking LuAnn if the Count is Anti Semitic. One would expect LuAnn’s answer to be a definite NO, but the way LuAnn answers this question is rather interesting. “Umm I would say that umm, it’s not that he disliked Jews, he just umm would be surprised umm if I was with somebody Jewish.” Those, my folks, were the exact words that came out of LuAnn’s mouth. The bizarro look on Andy Cohen’s face says it all, so I will move on.
The NYPostreported yesterday that Count Alex De Lesseps was attempting to reconcile with LuAnn. The reason being he had broken up with his Ethopian girlfriend, Princess Abajobir. The Count is however denying the story today, saying he and the princess ended things amicably, and that he does not intend to reconcile with LuAnn. The full post is below -
COUNT Alex de Lesseps takes issue with the source who told us “so bluntly” that he “got rid” of his Ethiopian girlfriend, Princess Abajobir. In an e-mail, he asserts, “We separated amicably and will remain friends, just as our children will.” The count also threw cold water on the idea he and Countess LuAnn might reconcile: “I am not trying to get back with the count ess in any way, as your spies suggested. We will re main friends and take care of our children.” The count, who rented a villa in babe-rich St. Tropez for the sum mer, might not be lonely for long.
The NYPost is reporting that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps might be reuniting with her estranged husband, Count Alex. In case you forgot, this is the same husband that ended their marriage by emailing her to let her know he had fallen for another women while in Ethopia.
The NYPost article is below -
“COUNTESS LuAnn de Lesseps — who split from husband Count Alex after the second season of “Real Housewives of New York City” — might be reconciling soon. The count, who is not swimming in money, rented a St. Tropez villa for 100,000 euros for the summer to impress his girlfriend, Ethiopian Princess Kemeria Abajobir Abajifar, who brought her two kids to play with the Lesseps’ spawn, Victoria, 14, and Noel, 12. “Things did not work out,” reports our Riviera spy, who said the princess’ behavior seemed less than noble, “her manners leaving a lot to be desired. After one week Count Lesseps ordered everyone out of the house and is now trying to reconcile with, you guessed it, good old LuAnn from the good old US of A.” LuAnn’s rep confirmed, “It’s true Alex got rid of the girlfriend,” but added that LuAnn was in the South of France separately and not cohabiting with her husband.“
Part 2 of the Reunion of The Real Housewives of New York aired last night, and Ramona seemed to be on the end of a lot of the insults being leveled by the other housewives. Along with Kelly who refuses to step of out of Kelly planet ofcourse. Ramona talked to People about the reunion show, and her feelings on being attacked by her castmates. -
How do you feel the reunion special went?
I really felt that I was attacked. On the opposite couch you had Jill [Zarin], Bethenny and LuAnn. I sat down and go, ‘This setup isn’t good,’ because with every question that was asked of me, the three of them were pouncing on me. They were attacking me. Why am I being attacked for being myself? I don’t try to be someone I’m not, like some of the other people. I am who I am and I tell the truth. Maybe sometimes I’m a little unedited. I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings. I don’t do anything with malicious intent.
You and LuAnn rehashed your spat this season. Why do you think she was so upset about what you said? And do you regret it?
Maybe she’s upset she married an older man. Maybe at that point her marriage wasn’t going well and she wanted a younger man. The point is she attacked me for all the wrong reasons. We all knew when we were filming the second season — and we even knew the first season — her marriage had problems and she was living a double life and so was her husband. And then to sit there and tell me she married her soul mate? She didn’t marry her soul mate otherwise they’d still be married.
Can you explain what you wrote about Bethenny on your blog?
I happen to like Bethenny, okay? [But] the truth is she is still single at 37 and there’s a reason she’s still single: She doesn’t know how to date men who are proper marriage material. She doesn’t date for marriage.
Kelly also took a lot of heat this season. What were your impressions about her joining the cast?
In all sincerity, I didn’t enjoy filming with Kelly. There’s just nothing there. There’s something missing. You know what I’m saying? I’d rather film with Alex and Simon. I get more spice out of Simon and Alex.
After all the drama on Tuesday, are you still on speaking terms with your castmates?
I saw Jill a couple of times since then and that’s okay. I saw LuAnn and that’s okay. Bethenny, I haven’t seen since. Alex, I don’t really have a relationship with nor do I have [one with] Kelly. It was definitely an intense day. It was very heated. And you know what? It is what it is.
Part 1 of the Real Housewives of NYC’s reunion show aired last night with some major cattiness amongst the ladies. Part 2 will be airing on Thursday, and below is recap of my thoughts on the show.
My favorite part of the Reunion show – Alex rightfully calling Bethenny out on some of her mean comments. I like Bethenny but she seems to have gotten a rather enlarged head lately. Not sure why she felt the need to “flatter” Alex by asking her for a favor in designing her logo. Alex is a professional who was getting paid good money by Victoria’s Secret to work for them.
Least favorite part of the show – Jill’s extreme cattiness. Love Jill as well but she seemedto find an interesting way to insert herself into every question/argument that took place on the reunion. She seemed to have been in some kind of running for the meanest housewife. Come to think of it, most of these women are just downright mean to each other. Not sure how they can consider each other “friends.”
Funniest part of the show – Kelly who claims to be a Columbia graduate, strange use of the English language, “I’ve built this name since I’m a kid.” The second funniest part of the show also goes to Kelly for her condescending remarks to Bethenny, you know the “you look adorable,” or the “you’re awesome!,” as if to say Bethenny needs those comments to build up her self esteem or something.
A summary of what happened on the show is below -
1) Jill talks about her boob reduction, she went from being a 32G to a 32DD.
2) Bethenny denies she is currently dating A-rod, admits to having a special man in her life.
3) Bethenny also denies having a boob job, instead admitting to having a breast lift. (Really? I always thought she had a boob job.)
4) LuAnn confirms the stories that her husband of 16 years, the Count did dump her by email for an Ethiopian woman, who is allegedly a princess according to stories leaked by the Count.
5) Kelly talked in circles about her alleged assault incident, never answering Bethenny’s question of why we never saw this guy on the show.
6) Ramona was busted by Jill about lying about her skin care line. Ramona claims she’s been working on it for 1.5 years, Jill felt the overwhelming need to accuse her of lying.
7) Alex rightfully calls out Bethenny on her snarky/catty remarks she makes behind the backs of her castmates.
LuAnn de Lesseps is speaking out about her split from her husband Count Alex de Lesseps. “It’s been really difficult for me,” The Real Housewives of New York City star told Us at a Whole Foods event in NYC Monday. “I just need time.”
She also spoke to People in their new issue, and recalled the shocking email she received from her husband – “It said that he had met someone and they were serious.” LuAnn says she was devastated at the news. She also says breaking the news to the couple’s two children, Noel, 12, and Victoria, 14, has “probably been the hardest part.”
She’s also having a difficult time getting up everyday to promote her new book, Class with the Countess, an autobiographical etiquette guide that hits bookstores April 16. “When I wrote the book I felt very secure,” says de Lesseps. “And that’s totally changed.”
LuAnn goes to state that she plans on remaining friends with the Count and doing what is best for her children. But will she remain a Countess? “Absolutely, darling!” she told Us. “I’ll always be the Countess!” And there you have it, she will always be the Countess!
