The Vanderpump Rules cast gathered last night to celebrate the upcoming premiere of their third season. Lisa Vanderpump and crew naturally gathered at the venue where all of the drama takes place: SUR.
The only cast member who appeared to be missing was Stassi Schroeder. This only fans my flames of speculation that she’s pregnant and trying hard to keep it under wraps until her spinoff is announced. You heard it here first.
After settling a lawsuit with a former waitress alleging sexual harassment, Lisa and Ken now face another suit from former pastry chef Martha Diaz.
Martha alleges that while working at the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills‘ stars restaurant she faced sexual harassment at the hands of her immediate supervisor Gustovo Molina and two kitchen staff who, among other things, “touched her vagina, called her a fat, ugly whore, showed her porn on his phone and left pornographic pics in her locker.”
On hand to celebrate with Lisa: her husband, Ken Todd, Giggy, daughter Pandora Sabo, and BFF Lance Bass. Not on hand? Her Beverly Hills co-stars! She Tweeted yesterday afternoon, “Enormous thank you to all of you who came out to support me in Palm Springs, so grateful.” Edited to add – it looks like new co-star Lisa Rinna was in attendance (see photo #3).
Since the show is filming the new season, we’re hoping that means a camera crew was along to catch the ceremony for show footage to be shared at some point. But it’s strange that none of Lisa’s co-stars made the trip. Or maybe that’s part of the storyline – everyone still turning their backs on our Mrs. Vanderfabulous?
Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller had a line of fans waiting to meet her and a book signing and Lisa Vanderpump filmed some scenes for RHOBH with husband Ken Todd. Also spotted: LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian doing interviews to promote their (epically failing) show.
Hmmm… this is curious! Lisa Vanderpump and her restaurant Villa Blanca were sued by former server Karina Bustillos (who is also an aspiring actress) after she alleged that manger Michael Govia sexually harassed her, grabbed her arm, and then created a hostile work environment.
Additionally Bustillos claimed that Ken Todd did not take her complaints seriously and she was forced to quit as a result. The case is odd to say the least. According to testimony of another former manager, Bustillos had been fired before, refused to work with another male employee for an unspecified reason, and was demanding her schedule be changed so she would only work with general manager Andrew Morrison. Karina was given two days off, with pay, but then it was decided she would not be compensated for the lost wages totaling about $300. At that point she both quit and filed suit.
This is an odd case of Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant Villa Blanca being sued by a former waitress who alleges that the manager harassed her and created a hostile work environment. What seems straightforward (and we know these types of claims are filed all the time by employees), took a rather odd turn when you get into the details of the case – including allegations that evidence went missing and accusations that the owners mismanaged a rather simple employee request thus turning it into a much bigger deal. Add to that, Lisa herself made a rather intriguing Tweet about the results of the case.
Let's break this down! First of all did Ken Toddhave a senior moment when it came to disciplining an employee, which led to things winding up in court? Karina Bustillos, a former server, filed a suit against Villa Blanca claiming manager Michael Govia claiming that in 2012 he attempted to kiss her and on another occasion twisted her wrists when she asked for change to distribute tips at the end of her shift. These types of incidents created a hostile work environment and she took her complaints to her employers, Lisa and Ken.
