When Andy Cohen asked Kenya about her interaction with Kim, she admitted, “First of all, I watched that back and I was mortified. I think it was a big mistake for me to pull her chair. It was uncalled for. It was absolutely unacceptable and I do apologize for that behavior. I was in the moment. I was just fed up with the B.S. It’s something that happened but I’m really actually very ashamed of that.”
After today I do not want to hear the words “beatless brunch” for a month. Or at least a week. Mmkay? Sheree Whitfield takes her turn touching on last week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta – and shares her own thoughts on the beatless brunch.
Sheree didn’t care that Kim Fields asked the ladies to come without their makeup on since she doesn’t wear much anyway – and it saved her some coins! Winning! “I don’t think Kim was being shady. I didn’t take issue with the brunch, because I normally do not wear makeup during my day-to-day activities. As a matter of fact, I’ve never really worn makeup prior to being on TV.”
But first, Cynthia weighed in on the debate over Kim‘s beatless brunch. “I was not personally offended or insulted by Kim’s ‘beatless brunch’ concept and felt her intentions were coming from a good place. However, I understand why some of the other ladies may have felt differently,” she said. “In my opinion the true definition of natural beauty is defined by more than minimal or no makeup, which is just one of many components.”
Love her or hate her, The Real Housewives of Atlantastar Kenya Moore doesn’t mince words or worry about being too harsh when talking about her co-stars. Kenya just lets the fur fly when it comes to sharing her opinions on the weekly episodes and we love her for it. This week she puts Kim Fields on blast and throws a little shade Phaedra Parks’ way.
Kenya starts off her blog this week explaining why she thinks Kim is too negative about her RHOA co-stars. “We’ve seen Kim speak about the “group” in a negative way before. She told Phaedra that everyone had their breasts out at my Kenya Moore Hair Care launch party and she “missed class,” thereby calling us classless or trashy. She quipped before that we all looked like we were always on a red carpet and she often makes disapproving faces and comments while she is with us.”
Last night on Real Housewives Of Atlanta the ladies were supposed to remove their makeup to reveal the natural beauty underneath. Perhaps realizing they actually don’t have any of that quality stuff, everyone kept their false eyelashes firmly adhered and batted their eyes shadily.
Kim Fields is starting to getting into the groove of the group, although they still scare the bejesus out of her with their non-mom lives of Louboutins, Louis, and liquored-up shade. Kim decides to put everyone on the an equal playing field, or maybe get to know them better as people, by hosting something she dubs a “Beatless Brunch.” Everybody knows the ladies of Atlanta rarely beat around the bush!
Happy Birthday to Kenya Moore! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is celebrating her 45th birthday today. We’ve got a fun roundup of flashback photos of Kenya down below. But first up, we have Kenya’s thoughts on last week’s episode of RHOA. Kenya explains some more about her conversation with her aunt and the strained relationship with her birth mother.
On that argument with her beloved Aunt Lori, “I have always considered my aunt to be the most compassionate member of my mother’s family. However, when it comes to my treatment from them, rarely has she or anyone else said or done anything that is sensible, rational, or logical. It’s disturbing, because they all seem crazy to me. I never would have dreamed that she would take that stance and place blame on me for knocking on my mother’s door. I had every right to knock on her door or even knock it down to get answers.”
