Lisa Vanderpump Might Have A New Vanderpump Dogs Show In The Works; Are Her Co-Stars Unhappy About It?

The last year has been a real personal challenge for Lisa Vanderpump. As we have seen this season, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been in the throes of coping with her brother’s unexpected death. And coping with the unexpected wrath of her co-stars, as well.

One bright spot in all this is that Lisa has been able to stay occupied with work. From the newly opened TomTom, to the upcoming Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas, Lisa has been very busy. Which can be a blessing when life gets difficult. And now there is word that the always entrepreneurial Lisa has something else up her silky sleeve. Involving what is nearest and dearest to her (no, not Kyle Richards!)-dogs.

When Hollywood Life recently asked Lisa if she had a show in the works about her dog foundation, she told them “Wow, you might be psychic.” In confirming what Lisa teased, a source told Hollywood Life that a show about Vanderpump Dogs has been officially picked up. “Filming of the pilot will begin sometime in the near future.”

It is not clear at this point whether or not the proposed show would be a permanent addition to the Bravo lineup. An insider told Page Six that the potential show is “in development.” And that the show is  “not a spin-off” and “could just be a special.” Either way, the show is sure to bring more attention to Lisa’s passion-the health and welfare of animals. No one could argue with that, could they?

Well, if you are a Beverly Hills cast member, you just might. Page Six also reports that when Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, Dorit Kemsley and Kyle heard about the project, they gathered at Craigs restaurant in Los Angeles to talk about how “extremely unhappy” they were about the show.  And that they believe the project was given to LVP at “their expense.”

The Page Six source also says that the cast believes that LVP promoted her show idea during the filming of Season 9 by escalating the rescue dog issue with Dorit. Is this just another thing the ladies can blame LVP for? The cast also “felt used by the show’s producers” to promote LVP’s agenda, according to the source.

Couldn’t LVP just propose a show idea to Bravo? Without having to stir up drama to do so? I bet Bravo executives would take a meeting with her! LVP is already the OG of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules has been a huge success. If LVP wanted to do a show about her angry swans, I bet Bravo would listen closely!

Aren’t all the ladies free to talk to the network about potential ideas they might have? I bet they all could pitch shows, if they wanted. Like a cooking show called “The Rats of Rinna’s Kitchen.” Or how about “The Kash Krunched Kemsleys”-a show in which Dorit and PK Kemsley learn to live a down-sized life in Burbank. That one I would watch, for sure!

Time will tell what comes of this possible new show. Any spotlighting of the welfare of animals would be a good thing, in my opinion. If a television show can make people think more about adopting a pet, it is a win-win for everyone.
