Watching this season of Below Deck Mediterranean, it’s hard to decide what is worse: Chef Mila Kolomeitseva’s cooking or her personal beliefs. She supposedly graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, but she can’t even make pancakes, cupcakes, or nachos.
As if failing at her job wasn’t enough reason to be frustrated with her, she had the nerve to say that she didn’t want her son to see two men kissing among other homophobic comments. She did not make these remarks in front of Captain Sandy Yawn, who happens to be in a relationship with a woman. So what does she think watching these episodes back?
During a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance, Andy Cohen asked Sandy what action she would take if she knew about Mila’s views during filming.
The always tactful Sandy began, “You know, to be honest, nothing. I would have pulled her aside and talked to her.”

The captain continued, “However, she’s there to do a job. I don’t bring social biases into it. We actually take a class for that.”
She also pointed out, “I have no idea what Russia is like to grow up in.” Ultimately she concluded, “Do I agree with her? Absolutely not. Her opinion of me doesn’t matter because I would have to care about that person for me to care.” Yes, but she also can’t cook. Mila has to get fired on those grounds at some point, right?

What did Captain Sandy think about Mila licking the steaks she cooked for the charter guests? She admitted, “I was mortified.”
