Police Officer Who Arrested Luann De Lesseps Is Facing Misconduct Charges

As the Countess would say, this is pretty “uncool”.  We certainly don’t see this happen a lot. Remember that one time Luann de Lesseps was arrested in Palm Beach County? You might have seen the video shared about 933 times on Real Housewives of New York. Yes, Lu briefly found herself on the wrong end of a handcuff key after imbibing too much alcohol and losing the ability to be quiet.

Who can forget the magical time Luann’s holiday card came with a mugshot? LuAnn was really going through it after her five-minute marriage to Tom D’Agostino. Everyone from Lu’s co-stars, to strangers on the street tried to warn the Countess from the box of red flags that was her fiance. But love is blind and LuAnn wound up learning a difficult lesson. On December 24, 2017, LuAnn was arrested for disorderly intoxication, along with other charges. Now it looks like the cop that arrested her might be catching some charges of his own.

Luann is off probation and staying sober, presumably. She really had a hell of a time during her divorce with Tom and it manifested itself in some nasty situations. Fortunately, LuAnn had a couple of stints in rehab and hopefully one of them stuck. While we are all happy LuAnn is on a path to improve her life, the dude that arrested her must have taken a sharp left.

According to an article on Page Six, “Steven O’Leary was arrested in July on 17 counts of official misconduct, 12 counts of false imprisonment, nine counts of false statements, eight counts of tampering with evidence and one of petit theft and battery, according to local reports. He was working for the Martin County Sheriff’s office at the time of the alleged offenses and was fired earlier this year after they found discrepancies in his cases.” Yikes, so much for the good guys.

But the real question here is, did he do our Countess dirty? According to the Palm Beach Police Department, that’s a negative. A rep for the department shared the officer’s cases, “have been reviewed by internal affairs and there were no discrepancies.”

Thankfully, it seems like Luann has emerged from her dark cloud with the help of sober (?) living and cabaret. She has launched her own IV drip and is in the middle of writing a tell-all book. Maybe the officer needs a bit of the cabaret life to get him back on the straight and narrow. I’m sure LuAnn could help him out with that one.
