Vicki Gunvalson Says Shannon Beador Easily Discards Her Friends

Bravo FINALLY announced the upcoming shake-up on the Real Housewives of Orange County and, to the dismay of the OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson was not on the list. Heather Dubrow is making a comeback while Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Kelly Dodd and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas got the boot. It’s clear that Vicki will never return to RHOC unless she has the center orange in her hand. Tamra Judge, on the other hand, could still make a cameo as a friend-of.

But Vicki cannot be happy about the news. Shannon Beador is the sole amiga left with an orange in her hand. But following Tammy Sue and Vicki’s exit, the nail was put in the coffin for the tres amigas. Considering the constant shade-throwing by all three women, it’s not a big surprise. And they don’t have an opportunity to make up with an awkwardly long group hug at a reunion to patch things up.

Vicki recently spoke to Access about RHOC Season 16, and had some choice words to say about Shannon. “Tamra and I still talk quite a bit,” Vicki said. “Shannon stopped talking to us right away. Right when she got asked back.” While I don’t blame Shannon for not aligning herself with Vicki in order to save her job, it seems a bit calculated that she’s only friends with the two when there are cameras rolling.

The OG of the OC was asked if there was bad blood between them, and she said that wasn’t the case. “I think Shannon, she easily discards her friends and that was something that I knew about her very early on,” Vicki continued. “One of her friends … that had been friends with her for years, like 20 years, told me as soon as she got on the show, she stopped talking to her.” Oh Vicki, always convincingly bringing up years-old information when the time is right to throw mud at her former castmates.

Vicki goes on to talk about how great of a friend she is, which is DEFINITELY up for debate considering her track regard. “Regardless if I’m on a show or not, they’re still my friends,” Vicki said of her high school and college buddies she claims to still be close with. “[Shannon’s old friend] just said, ‘Be careful. Don’t get to close. She’s not going to stay with you forever’ so it was sad.”

Shannon went from calling Tamra 800 times a day to ditching her for Kelly. While I always am skeptical about Vicki’s agenda, she has a point that Shannon is shady when it comes to her persona on and off-screen.
