I love a good mystery and when all else fails, this one will do. Recently Andy Cohen announced a Watch What Happens Live special featuring the children of Bravolebrities. “Children” meaning 18 years old and over… No minors will be a part of this program, but that doesn’t stop parents from subjecting their youngsters to scorn and humiliation over the course of 13 episodes. The line up includes various spawn representing most of the Real Housewives franchises.
Not every adult kid could participate. Some are in college, some have families in far away places, and some weren’t asked to join in on the fun. Rumors began swirling that two pissed off Housewives called Daddy with a bone to pick because their child wasn’t tapped. The Bravo detective squad, arguably more lethal than the CIA, began sleuthing in attempts to figure out which indignant women complained. According to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Lisa Rinna, we can eliminate her from the list. But we all know Lisa has memory problems, so she might not even remember making the call…
We’ve truly seen Shannon Beador’s nasty divorce with David Beador play out from beginning to end on the Real Housewives of Orange County. It started with, of course, THE AFFAIR, which led to a few seasons full of couples counseling. They reconciled with a vow renewal, which fans know is the kiss of death to reality TV marriages. Then they called it quits, went back and forth in court and David has moved one. And recently, he welcomed a baby with his new wife, Lesley Cook Beador.
And if you thought David and Shannon’s interactions were toxic, the RHOC member’s feud with her ex’s new wife is a whole other ballgame. Most recently, they’ve been fighting about a baby gift, a la #bunnygate from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The demise of Shannon Beador and David Beador‘s relationship has been a long and drawn-out storyline on the Real Housewives Of Orange County. Shannon joined the cast fresh off of dealing with the infamous AFFAIR and gave an honest look into them attempting to repair their marriage. While we didn’t have high expectations, their attempts at reconciliation did give us iconic scenes, like when they both had to give each other eulogies at the other’s fake funeral. Let’s be real — we all knew it was over the second they renewed their vows.
Somehow (not shocked) all of this work couldn’t stop David from being the cheating, gaslighting partner he is, who would rather munch on chips than have to talk to his ex-wife. But now he’s moved on with his new family — his wife, Lesley Cook Beador, just gave birth to their first baby together.
Who would you rather be friends with, Tamra Judge or Shannon Beador? Tamra has no problem stirring the pot and throwing anyone under the bus for a storyline. And, then there’s Shannon, who seems overwhelming, clingy, and demanding.
With those two choices for a friend, who would even want one?
Going into the most recent
flop of a season of Real Housewives of Orange County, a lot of viewers expected to “side” with Braunwyn Windham-Burke. She supported disenfranchised groups and she seemed to be open-minded. During the premiere episode, she revealed that she is an alcoholic and started her journey of sobriety. She had a lot of people behind her, supporting her.
Then, the tide started to turn. She hired a professional photographer to take pictures of her at a Black Lives Matter protest, which doesn’t exactly scream “sincerity.” She admitted to hitting her husband Sean Burke… multiple times… in front of their children. After that, she came out as a lesbian, claiming that she has never been attracted to her husband, the father of her seven kids. She’s also been calling the paparazzi on herself. Basically, it just feels like a lot of attention-seeking and hypocrisy. No wonder, she’s had issues with every single one of her co-stars this season.
The demise of Shannon Beador’s marriage with David Beador was tough to watch. One second I felt bad for Shannon for the way David treated her, which included cheating on her multiple times. And, then, I couldn’t help wondering how someone remained married to Shannon for so long.
Sometimes, I get overwhelmed by Shannon when I’m sitting on my couch at home watching Real Housewives of Orange County. I can’t imagine how it would feel to live with her for over a decade. The screeching, the surplus of lemons, the acupuncture appointments, and home colonics, would just be way too much for me. Just look at those nude hiking photos that David took with his new wife Lesley Cook (now Lesley Beador). My poor eyes. That’s the kind of sight you can’t unsee.
Going into the latest Real Housewives of Orange County, I assumed I would be supporting Braunwyn Windham-Burke 100% of the way. She was a very vocal supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement. She was very supportive of the LGBTQI+ community before ultimately coming out as a lesbian herself. And then she managed to be so frustrating, annoying, and hypocritical that it has been so hard to root for her.
After Braunwyn hit her husband Sean Burke, offered her drug dealer’s contact information to Shannon Beador’s then-14-year-old daughter Stella Beador, and all of her other offensive behaviors and hypocrisies, I just cannot be a card-carrying member of Team Braunwyn. She even hired a professional photographer to take photos of her during a Black Lives Matter protest, which comes across as incredibly self-serving.
Real Housewives of Orange County is over. It ended on the beach with a womp womp from producers and editors. They said without really saying, “we tried it without Tamra Judge. Replaced her with real live charisma vacuum, Elizabeth Lyn Vargas. And we know, it didn’t work.” The whole series needs an overhaul.
None of these women are natural together. The only thing they have in common is not liking Braunwyn Windham-Burke. The reunion was hard to watch. There was a lot of deflection from every single woman on stage, except Gina Kirschenheiter. Kelly Dodd is not a Covidiot, she’s Black! Braunwyn isn’t a mess. She just had seven kids with her husband because she’s an alcoholic! Emily Simpson does too support LGBTQ people. She went to a club with drag queens that one time! Deflections and irrationality everywhere, and Gina is happy to call it out.
