Why It’s Great To See So Many Below Deck Cast Members on Winter House

For the first time ever, various personalities from the Below Deck franchise will be appearing on Winter House. For anyone not in the know, Winter House is a spin-off of Summer House, a long-running series found on Bravo. Here, a luxury rental in the Hamptons is housed with New Yorkers, all looking for a weekend away from the city.

Just like its predecessor, Winter House also features luxury rental accommodations. However, the homes chosen are located in various wintry locations. When it first aired, Winter House Season 1 only featured cast members from the Summer House and Southern Charm casts. As for Winter House Season 2, personalities from the Vanderpump Rules cast popped in, though it was just Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, so…meh.

When Winter House Season 3 airs on October 24, the usual crew will still be seen. However, they will now be aided by three full-time Below Deck cast members. In addition, another three yachties are set to visit the house at some point during the season. Here’s why it is beyond great to finally see so many Below Deck personalities crossing over to Winter House.

Below Deck Deserves This Recognition

Below Deck Down Under just finished airing Season 2. With storylines ranging from sexual assault to trauma reactions involving liquor, it was an altogether dark and touching ride. Watching these cast members shine as both humans and employees took this franchise to a heightened level. The proof of this was even found in the viewership, which reached all-time highs this season.

These cast members have proven themselves repeatedly on-air. They therefore deserve other opportunities to shine. This is why it’s so great that multiple personalities have been asked to join the Winter House cast. Hopefully, any avid viewers of Summer and/or Winter House who have not yet jumped onto this nautical bandwagon will now do so, recognizing, supporting, and appreciating the Below Deck family all the more.

Below Deck Has Already Nailed a Crossover

Not that they need to prove themselves to anyone, but just in case anyone’s weary of having Below Deck cast members on Winter House, I’d urge you to watch Project Runway Season 20 Episode 9. Here, various crew members crossed over, modeling and helping the designers who were asked to create yacht-friendly uniforms.

In this crossover, the personalities that we know and (mostly) love on Below Deck resurfaced. This proved that whether on land or at sea, what you see is what you get with these yachties. In our opinion, these faces can now easily handle another crossover. With so many appearing at one time, they may even form an excellent support network for each other, leaning on the others as they navigate the world of Winter House together.

The Below Deck Cast Deserves a Wintry Rest Together

Often seen working 16-hour shifts, the cast of Below Deck has toiled away for almost a decade. Whether it’s waking up before the sun to assemble six different kinds of eggs, or spending entire days holed up in a laundry room, washing items that cost more than their salaries, these yachties have been put to work. These efforts seen are a far cry from Paige DeSorbo, who simply resides in her Winter House bed, ignoring…everything.

With zero affluent charter guests making ridiculous requests on Winter House, our Below Deck favorites can finally rest. Or not. Either way, with so many Below Deck cast members appearing, it’ll be fun to see how they all transition to this land-based, lessened workload of a series.

The Chosen Below Deck Cast Members = DRAMA

Alex Propson/Instagram

Bravo could have easily chosen to cast all well-liked Below Deck crew members for this series first crossover on Winter House, but nope, they instead opted for chaos. Don’t get me wrong, Alex Propson was one of the kindest souls to ever star on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. However, Alex is being joined by Below Deck Mediterranean‘s Malia White and Katie Flood, who both received mixed reactions during their time on deck.

Rounding out these 3 are the additional Below Deck guest visitors, who are all basically chaos personified. Aesha Scott, who is upbeat and quirky, Captain Sandy Yawn, who has a polarizing following, and Rhylee Gerber, who we stan (though others do not) are all popping in. Basically, there is a zero-percent chance that these yachties combined will all fail to bring the drama, like two unnamed Vanderpump Rules visitors did back in Season 2.

For the possible crossover hook-ups and the cheeky (and likely aggressive) conversations we’ve yet to see, these 6 Below Deck cast members will help to bring in the ratings and the drama for Winter House Season 3, and on this, we are ready.
