Erika Jayne Wanted a ‘Fresh Start’ on RHOBH Season 13

When Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi started having legal problems, not much was shared on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. As the media began reporting tales of Tom’s crimes, more people began giving EJ the side-eye.

Then the stories about widows, orphans, and burn victims came out. Erika showed little to no compassion for the victims of Tom, as she considered herself a victim as well. Erika has lost a lot in recent years, even down to her main ally on the show. Now, ahead of the Season 13 premiere, EJ wants to have a “fresh start.” Let’s see if she’ll get it.

She’s ready

Erika sat down with PRIDE and explained how she’s navigating the new season. “I came into this new season really wanting a fresh start [and] really wanting to move past the last three years of everything that’s been going on legally and personally,” she began.

Speaking of the last three years, she comes face to face with Denise Richards again – and it didn’t go so well. “I didn’t know that Denise was going to pick a fight with me, I had no idea what she was talking about. I was confused and didn’t remember what she was saying. She didn’t articulate herself very well at all. It’s a whole thing. I certainly wasn’t expecting that,” Erika said.

EJ might not think Denise “articulated” herself well but everyone got the gist when Denise called her “evil” in the trailer. That seemed pretty articulate. But Denise isn’t the only alum showing back up. Camille Grammer is back at the dinner table too.

BravoCon continues to haunt EJ

Erika’s BravoCon performance from last year continues to follow her as well. Not because it was particularly memorable, but Dorit Kemsely needs something to talk about. Erika answered a question about the next RHOBH marriage to hit the skids and clocked Dorit’s union of love.

“At BravoCon, I did not want to answer it. It was the first thing that flew out of my mouth and later, I come to find out something else is going on. I feel very badly about that. I should have said something silly and stupid. I can’t take that back and I do sincerely apologize to Dorit, who I consider a friend. I have to pay for that,” Erika explained.

While the streets are currently buzzing about Dorit and PK Kemsley being on the rocks, it’s Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky who are scrambling for relevance the marriage upheaval spotlight.

Riding or dying for Kyle, Sutton not so much

Regardless of what happens, Erika is riding for Kyle. ”I am Kyle’s friend no matter what happens. It is her marriage to Mauricio. It is not our marriage. They need to do what is right for them. I love Kyle and I will be there for her no matter what happens. It’s hard because she has four beautiful daughters. It’s tough.”

Let’s not forget about Sutton Stracke. EJ and Sutton still aren’t quite there as far as an everlasting friendship goes. “I’m not someone who’s going to flip on you for no reason.”

She continued, “I see Sutton doing things not only to me, but to others and it’s just disappointing. If your friend Kyle is going through something, why are you so invested in an ugly way? Why aren’t you more caring and more loving? The unpredictably is a turn off quite honestly.” Erika, Lisa Vanderpump is on the phone and she has some questions for you.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 premieres TOMORROW, October 25 at 8 PM ET on Bravo.
