Welcome to The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 15 recap. Last time, Tamra met with Katie to ask some questions about Gretchen and her fiancé, Slade Smiley. Meanwhile, Emily hosted a western-themed fundraiser for the Innocence Center. However, Gretchen confronted Tamra, causing a scene. Here’s what happened in RHOC Season 19 Episode 15: “Going Dutch.”
What happened in Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 15?
Shannon gave Jenn a lovely bridal luncheon. The ladies decided to plan a girls’ trip to Amsterdam. While the location is nostalgic for Heather, Tamra insults Shannon during the first day of their trip.
Shannon hosts a special event for Jenn
Shannon planned an elegant bridal luncheon for Jenn. The table set-up was gorgeous, and it should be, because Shannon dropped $2,000 just for the plates. Gretchen was the first to arrive, and Shannon shared that some of the RHOC cast thought that Gretchen was behaving like Tamra.
In her confessional, Shannon noted, “Gretchen doesn’t need to stoop that low. The world doesn’t need another Tamra.” Meanwhile, a producer asked Gretchen, “What would be the biggest difference between you and Tamra?” Welp, Gretchen has a list on her phone, which played on the screen. And that is “the short list.” Yikes.
During the luncheon, Shannon suggested that everyone give their best marital advice. Heather, the only lady who is still married to her first husband, advised Jenn to ignore other people’s comments. “You know who you go home to, and that’s all that’s important,” the actress said.
Of course, Emily suggested going on a trip, and Shannon would like to check out Amsterdam. Heather’s parents lived there on the Herengracht canal. They moved there when Heather was in college, and she hasn’t been back in 22 years. Plus, as Heather pointed out, “Pot’s legal, so me, and Gina, will be really happy.”
Later, Heather chatted with her hubby, Dr. Terry Dubrow, about a package that her mother sent her. It was her father’s ashes. Heather’s father enjoyed Amsterdam, Puerto Vallarta, and New York. So, Terry suggested putting him in the Herengracht in front of his house.
“You know, my joke about my dad is that our relationship now is exactly the same,” Heather said in her confessional. He wasn’t emotional and was a “typical corporate dad.” That is sad.
Two dinner dates in RHOC
Gina and her boyfriend, Travis Mullen, went out to celebrate. Travis’ son is living with them again, so their blended family is back together. Gina can see that Travis is less stressed now. She noted that she was thankful that they decided to put their relationship first. “We deserve to be together,” Gina said. “I’m so proud of us.” She added in her confessional, “Moving back in with Travis, I learned how to accept that Travis’ situation with him and his ex is never going to go away.”
Meanwhile, Tamra and her husband, Eddie Judge, went out to dinner to dissect Emily’s event. Tamra shared that she saw Gina recently, and Gina asked if there was any path forward with Gretchen. “I don’t think you need to have that woman in your life, babe,” Eddie said, and Tamra agreed.
Now that Tamra’s daughter, Sophia, is going to college, it’s time for the duo to consider their plans as empty-nesters. Then they discussed their relationship and communication style.
While Tamra is concerned about their fighting, Eddie has worries about her drinking and then confronting him. “For our relationship purposes, you should never drink,” Eddie said. “You should be able to come to me and talk to me about what’s hurting you.” She replied, “No. That’s never gonna happen.” He would like her to reach out more, and instead, she backs away.
Don’t rock the boat!
The ladies headed to Amsterdam and survived a 13-hour flight. The RHOC group checked in at their hotel. All the ladies have their own room, except for Gina and Emily, who are sharing.
Plus, Shannon has arranged for the ladies to go on a canal tour. Half the group is dressed like they might be heading for the Red Light District instead. Their boat actually passed by Heather’s parents’ house, and she snapped a photo of their door. Heather thought that when her father lived there, he was happy with his life. This must be a bittersweet moment for Heather, since she felt so disconnected from him.
Meanwhile, Tamra suggested a fun group activity for the ladies. You go to a shop, where you decorate and bedazzle a penis! Sounds about right for this group.
Welp, Emily enjoyed some champagne, so she asked Shannon if she thought that Tamra was being “shady” when she brought up Shannon’s father’s drinking issues. Way to tread lightly, Emily. “I did think it was a dig,” Shannon stated. However, Emily felt that Tamra was attempting to “be compassionate.” As for forgiving Tamra after she brought that up? That is a hard no.
Tamra responded, “I can apologize. You can’t. You can’t move forward.” Then Shannon said, “If I ever called you the c-word 18 times at a dinner table…” Welp, Tamra interrupted. “Are you a c*nt?” she asked. “Are you a c*nt? I’m asking you.” Thankfully, the boat docked, and the ladies split into two groups.
Someone is ready for a space cake
Heather, Gina, Gretchen, and Shannon hit up a dispensary. Shannon ordered a specialty space muffin, and Gina and Heather urged her to take just a bite. As for Tamra’s latest rant? “I have no interest in getting closer to Tamra at all,” Shannon said. However, Heather is confused about how Shannon can be friends with Jenn since Jenn is friendly with Alexis Bellino. Shannon and Alexis are enemies.
However, talk soon turned to Emily’s western-themed fundraiser. When Gretchen asked if the ladies understood why she accompanied Slade to talk to Tamra, Heather and Gina didn’t. “My opinion, you have reduced yourself to a place you should not go,” Gina said. However, Gretchen responded that with Tamra, “fighting fire with fire” is the best option.
“All you’re doing is poking each other,” Fancy Pants said. Meanwhile, an abnormally calm Shannon started to nibble on her THC-laced muffin before Heather told her to take a smaller bite. I love this scene!
Meanwhile, Tamra, Emily, and Jenn went to decorate the penises. Or, as Emily stated, “D*ckorating!” Of course, the topic of Alexis came up. Jenn received a save-the-date card for Alexis’ wedding to John Janssen, but after Shannon didn’t want her to attend, Jenn decided not to go.
After some prying from Emily, Jenn admitted that she had some feelings about Shannon’s luncheon. “I appreciate it, but that’s not my thing at all,” Jenn said. That led Emily to ask if she felt that Shannon threw the luncheon for Jenn, or “for herself.” Emily is working overtime stirring the pot. Both Tamra and Emily suspect that Shannon did it to show off what a great friend she is. However, Jenn felt that Shannon did it for her. Interesting.
A good time was had by all on Real Housewives of Orange County
The ladies met up for dinner. Shannon was wobbly and very high. Cue the flashback of Shannon yelling into the phone, “Stella, what happens if you do drugs? You die!”
Then Shannon slid under the table to retrieve her barrette. When her rescue mission was unsuccessful, Tamra climbed underneath and somehow held up the accessory. “That’s how much she wants to be back with Shannon. She’s going down on Shannon,” Gretchen said. “Are you going to f*cking be nice to me after this?” Tamra yelled from underneath the table.
Can we please keep the ladies in Amsterdam? This seems to be their happy place. After dinner, the group hit up the Red Light District, and the ladies seemed to have a blast. “This is a good sign. We may make it out of Amsterdam alive,” Jenn said in her confessional. However, the preview for next week shows that may not be the case.
