There were many unanswered questions when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills concluded Season 9. Literally though, the women refused to address almost anything remotely personal; i.e. lawsuits, plastic surgery, and finances.
The only that that was very clear is that Camille Grammer is on the outs with the RHOBH ladies. Sure, she got a long hug from latex-clad Lisa Rinna. But, other than that, bridesmaid Kyle Richards sided with Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave against Camille, which didn’t surprise Camille, since she declared that Teddi is “up Kyle’s ass.” Camille and Denise Richards’ had strong tension that came out of nowhere. And then there’s Erika Jayne, who doesn’t seem to care about
anything Camille at all. Camille was really marching into the lions den when she showed up to film, but it turns out she was already very much excluded before the reunion taping.
OH DORIT! We’re gathered here today, not to mourn, but to celebrate what once was. Dorit Kemsley fell into our laps on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills amid a flurry of strange accents and purchased hair. Dorit and husband PK wowed viewers with their fancy cars and upscale home. Their flashy European lifestyle and famous
30 years ago houseguests gave fans a glimpse into their jetset existence. Friends of legitimately rich Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd, the couple threw lavish parties, had designer wardrobes, and shared lessons in stirring the pot.
Then things got kind of sketchy. A slight hum on the rumor mill about the state of PK’s checkbook turned into a roar once his debt reached the million dollar mark. Gasp! How could this be? Dorit drives a rose-gold Bentley! As fear turned to reality, Dorit and PK did the only thing they could to throw the media off the scent of their
negative account balance financial issues. Let’s replace one scandal with an even bigger scandal! Legend has it, this is how #puppygate was born… And now, despite the denials and facade… The hours of deflecting and legal bills increasing… Now we’ve reached the denouement. Friends, it’s with a heavy heart I give you this news. Dorit and PK, once the flashiest new additions to the RHOBH family, did not actually purchase their new house. Let’s bow our heads and chuckle to ourselves offer thoughts and prayers.
While the last Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season had more drama than the previous couple, it’s not as if there was a bevy of storylines- human storylines. I’m not even going to get into the Lucy drama that managed to eclipse the season.
However, new Housewife Denise Richards was a pleasure to watch. She could have given us more drama. That super random reunion tension with Camille Grammer doesn’t count since it made zero sense to me. She had some post-show social media beef with Lisa Vanderpump and John Sessa. However, for the most part, she provided some much-needed comic relief and a break from the glam squads. A casting change is needed. LVP is out. No one else wants to talk about anything remotely interesting. Lawsuits, plastic surgery, and faux finances are not on the table. We need a cast shake up. So will Denise be a one and done? Or will she return (hopefully with a bunch of new Housewives)?
Well, we made it through another season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It has been a rough one and I think I need my own vacation from this cast! Season 9 of my beloved RHOBH has been a bit exhausting. If I saw Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna or Dorit Kemsley on the streets of Beverly, I would probably ask them for a refund for the season. Cash or verified gift card only from Dorit!
As Lisa Vanderpump stopped filming with her co-stars, the other Housewives did not have much to do all season, other than drink, hide lawsuits, shamelessly promote their businesses and complain about LVP. Not much of interest happened until the reunion when Camille Grammer barreled in with guns blazing. She was especially miffed that Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave shaded her wedding. Now, Teddi is explaining her side of things. Whether we like it or not!
Denise Richards gave Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans some much-needed comic relief this season, but not much else. She told Camille Grammer to back off while she was wearing a fur coat and an Agency hat during the finale, but other than that, Denise had zero conflict this season.
Well, until the reunion. She and Camille randomly went at it. Camille said she didn’t like Denise and that she was boring this past season. Denise asked if Camille was “on something” during the taping. Then, Camille wondered if Denise was “on something” during a recent Watch What Happens Live appearance. In response, Denise took to Twitter to make a shocking claim about the RHOBH OG.
Just because Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has wrapped for the season it doesn’t mean legal troubles disappear! Dorit and PK Kemsley have been embroiled in a battle behind the scenes. But this isn’t their first trip to court for financial issues. For quite some time, the Bellagio Hotel and Casino was after PK for $3.6 million in unpaid debts. Fortunately, the Bellagio
called Fofty settled with the Kemsleys in May of this year.
That wasn’t the only case Dorit and PK were
hiding dealing with. Beverly Beach by Dorit was under scrutiny by Dorit’s business partner, Ryan Horne. He claimed 1/3 ownership of the swimwear company and sued Dorit for $205,000. Gosh, these two have been busy not paying people, BUT LET’S TALK ABOUT THE DOG. The monetary troubles don’t end there, my friends. PK also owes mad dollars to someone else. Nico Kirzis loaned the British producer $1.2 million about eight years ago. Despite filing for bankruptcy and moving to another country, the debt remained unpaid. In September, Dorit is expected to answer to the claims against them. Now a warning has been issued. If Dorit doesn’t show up to court, she could find herself the new fit model for LA County jumpsuits.
Brandi Glanville’s cameo on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was SHOCKING. Brandi last made an appearance at the season 6 reunion. However, Denise Richards‘ arrival made way for her to reenter the fold. She didn’t play a huge role, but she had a lot to say about Lisa Vanderpump. Spoiler alert; none of it was positive.
Everyone was surprised at the reunion when Camille Grammer blamed Brandi for LVP’s reunion absence. Brandi took to Twitter to claim Camille was being told was to say by LVP. It’s difficult to know what to believe her. Why would Camille make that up? Why would Lisa even care if Brandi returned to the show since she quit? Thankfully, Lisa is setting the record straight about her thoughts on Brandi returning.
Oh friends, we have finally, finally said farewell to this interminable season of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. And wow can I just say this show is in peril and I don’t like a single one of them! Part 3 of the reunion was largely a waste of time, so I’m going to spend this recap discussing the RHOBH in general.
There’s not much that can be said about this group except that the lack of awareness and (here comes Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave‘s favorite word!) accountability is astounding. Camille Grammer had it right when she hissed, “Hypocrisy at its finest!”
As the woman all all sat up there railing against Lisa Vanderpump for being manipulative and shielding parts of her life from the cameras, not a single one of them admitted to doing the same thing. So when Kyle Richards decided not to confront Dorit Kemsley about what really happened with Lucy, or confront Teddi about the inconsistencies in her stories and involvement, and instead completely deflected everything onto Lisa? Kyle wasn’t ‘manipulating’?
