I know times are tough around the million-plus dollar rental Erika Jayne is slumming in. That’s obvious from the Roger Rabbit shoulder pads confessional “lewk” being shoved down our throats. But really, what in the $5 Maybelline Great Lash is going on around here?!
In our latest stop on on the Embezzlement Express we see Erika actually trying to convince us there’s a difference between a gold-digger and a conspirator for fraud and money laundering. Not the connection I think she meant to make. That said, Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna seem keen to remain loyal to the no-fucks-to-give divorcee. At this point it seems the only Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast willing to speak out are those who have distanced themselves from the show altogether.
Have we all stopped applauding Erika Jayne for doing her own dishes yet? In Jesus Christ lady get the hell over it news, Brandi Glanville, award-winning Twitter personality and long-suffering veteran of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is talking about Denise Richards… AGAIN. Just out of curiosity, at what point does one become officially sick of hearing themselves pontificate over diamonds they lost?
Apparently not soon enough because Brandi’s third favorite thing to talk about behind herself and her cheating husband from eons ago, is Denise. It’s safe to assume Denise hasn’t thought about Brandi since the last time she took a shot and Glanville is nowhere close to her radar. But bless her damn heart, Brandi has a voice and she’s going to use it. She’ll curse, she’ll cry, and she’ll get help from fellow Denise-hater, Lisa Rinna. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens when you have too much free time.
The early seasons of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were sometimes far from glamorous. They were sometimes dark. Taylor Armstrong was allegedly abused by her husband, Russell Armstrong. In July of 2011, Taylor filed for divorce. Tragically, Russell committed suicide in August of 2011.
In September of 2020, Taylor reflected on Camille Grammer revealing that she was a victim of domestic abuse. The RHOBH alum admitted that there was only one time that she considered quitting the franchise. “When Camille outed my abuse at Lisa Vanderpump’s tea party. I remember staring at one of the producers just dead in the eyes because I didn’t even have anything to say,” Taylor shared. “I knew in that moment that my life was about to change.”
There are very few people in the world who can recognize a true stunt queen move. But if you were compelled to form a group of individuals who can clock someone that engages in questionable endeavors with a goal of achieving recognition, call a Bravo viewer. We get lots of stunt queens and most fans are well-versed in not tolerating blatant acts of
desperation forced content. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been suffering from forced content for several seasons now, and the person often called in to work is Brandi Glanville.
Brandi has basically been there for the show since
she was fired her contract wasn’t renewed. RHOBH had a rough go last year and lost Denise Richards as a result. Denise was the newest target in the environment where absolutely no one is ganged up on. After the disaster that was #puppygate and Lisa Vanderpump’s departure, rumors of a boring Season 10 filled the media during production. Evolution called in Brandi who had some handy dandy unconfirmed rumors to share. Despite the negative press, Denise quitting, and not exactly gaining fans, Brandi has no regrets.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has seen plenty of unusual characters in its day, but no one does it quite like Brandi Glanville. Brandi’s M.O. is to cause drama any way she can, whether it involves throwing wine in Eileen Davidson’s face or smacking Lisa Vanderpump. Even though Brandi hasn’t been full-time in a while, she tried to use a hookup rumor involving herself and Denise Richards to weasel her way back in last season. The drama ensued, and it mostly made Brandi, Lisa Rinna and most of the other ladies look like the worst friends ever by outing Denise. And it bit Brandi in the ass — she’s begging Andy Cohen for a job while Denise is unbothered. And Brandi even burned the bridge with her
only friend Kim Richards.
Brandi is always at a level 10 when it comes to her energy and ability to cause chaos, especially if there’s a camera or a blog involved. She’s a bit of a hot mess at all times. And she isn’t afraid to go low, especially if it involves insulting her enemies AKA Camille Grammer and LVP. Word on the street is she’s pulling a Ramona Singer and going for her real estate license. That is, if Andy doesn’t offer her a job first. She’s probably foaming at the mouth hearing that Teddi Mellencamp will be making a cameo instead of her. That’s tough, especially when boring old Teddi becomes more relevant than you.
It’s no secret Kyle Richards is the HBIC on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and her longevity earned that spot. Kyle’s storyline is usually sibling-related because Kyle requires someone who shares her DNA to have content on this show. Sister Kathy Hilton finally relented to pressure or the allure of pending anxiety attacks and has provided a bit of fresh air in an otherwise stagnant environment ahead of the latest season.
Kyle has seen “friends” come and go and a strong bond developed with certain ladies during her tenure. They are all moms, all wealthy, and all had bad legal issues in their recent past they wanted to hide. After some sketchy exits courtesy of Kyle and her bonded group’s
harassment curiosity regarding certain subjects, Kyle wants everyone to know they definitely aren’t ganging-up on people. It just looks like they’re ganging up on people.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has started out stronger than I assumed it would this season. I’m already enjoying the new girl, Crystal Kung Minkoff. Sutton Stracke, who I was personally mesmerized by last season, was promoted to a full time housewife. Thanks to some insensitive comments, I’m not loving Sutton but let’s see how it plays out. And we cannot forget one of the most important additions to the franchise EVER, Ms. Kathy Hilton herself. While she’s not a full time player, she’s enjoyable with the little we’ve seen.
So the cast shake up this season was a pretty big one, but much needed. Gone
and already forgotten from last season is Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. You know, Kyle Richards’ partner in crime? What those two saw in each other is beyond me but I can only assume that two shady b*tches just like to be shady together. But while fans clearly aren’t missing Teddi, someone actually is.
A huge allure of the Real Housewives when it first premiered in Orange County was the elaborate homes. The opulence, the size, the furnishings, the amenities, and the views. The Real Housewives of Orange County was marketed as a “look behind the gates,” and featured some fantastic homes. But the franchise spread its wings, and drew in cast members with even greater means, so interestingly, none of the original housewives made the list of the top ten most expensive homes.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills homes dominate. Not exactly a surprise, being that it’s one of the wealthiest zip codes in America. But there are some revelations on this list and favorite alums to reconnect with.
