Is it safe to say that the Real Housewives of Dallas is finally getting into the groove? Season 5 of Dallas covered every style of hot mess available. Mother-daughter drama, the pandemic, cheating rumors, on and on. That said, the real contention didn’t come out until filming had wrapped. Let’s not forget how this cast dragged LeeAnne Locken into things with mere minutes left at the reunion. That’s called a franchise Hail Mary, folks.
Then there was Kameron Westcott getting her husband and brother-in-law into the post-air Twitter drama! Never thought I’d see Miss Priss stoop to RHONJ levels, but here we are.
The Real Housewives of Dallas really tried it this last season. The franchise had two major blemishes to address. The first of which was carnie LeeAnne Locken who acted like a clown referring to her co-star, Kary Brittingham, as a “chirpy Mexican.” On camera no less! LeeAnne was shown the exit, seemingly easily, after that one. Brandi Redmond, on the other hand, was allowed back after her between-season-call-out for blatantly mocking Asians on her very public Twitter. While Brandi sought a retreat to cure her ignorance, Bravo also had the marvelous idea to add Asian immigrant Housewife Dr. Tiffany Moon to the cast! What could go wrong!?
While I think it was obvious Brandi never stood a chance of redemption, did anyone see the following Kameron Westcott parade of mis-information coming? Her brother-in-law got involved via Twitter. For someone named after an informational graphic, Chart Westcott really miffed his attempt to school Tiffany.
The Real Housewives of Potomac are gearing up to return to our screens this summer, with a few new faces thrown into the mix. One person, and pet, we won’t be seeing is Monique Samuels and her beloved bird T’Challa after a drama-filled reunion pushed her to quit the show. Season 5 was a lot following Monique’s fight with Candiace Dillard to people having plenty of opinions about the reunion that split the Bravo-verse in half.
Monique had an action-packed four seasons on RHOP before calling it quits after Season 5. Now she’s doing her own thing, still working on her parenting website/podcast and unveiling the contents of her binder for any fans that still care to hear the tea. And, of course, being a super mom to her adorable little family.
Dr. Tiffany Moon was a much-needed edition to the Real Housewives of Dallas cast. The anesthesiologist brought tremendous intelligence, quirk, and emotional maturity to the show. She is also the first Asian American housewife on RHOD, and goodness knows the cast needed some diversity, especially after the shameful departure of LeeAnne Locken last season.
The introduction of Tiffany to the show also coincided with the emergence of a social media post in which Brandi Redmond depicted an Asian stereotype. So as Season 5 began, if anyone seemed that they were walking on the thin ice of cancel culture, it would have been Brandi. However, she showed so much remorse and humility, that Brandi and Tiffany were able to move forward. Brandi listened and learned, and Tiffany forgave her for her previous wrong-doing.
Tiffany Moon did NOT come to play at the Real Housewives of Dallas reunion. She read the women up and down throughout the entire episode. Kameron Westcott was especially hit by the truth bombs coming from the Dallas newbie. Tiffany scored the coveted seat next to Andy Cohen, and she proved why she deserved that accolade. It’s a shame that nobody in her life wants her on the show because she EXCELS in this role.
The most puzzling part of last week’s episode was Brand Redmond’s silence. Why was she even there? Did she even speak once? She has the most to answer for (besides Kary Brittingham), so let’s here what she has to say! We need to hear her speak out about the video of herself mocking Asians. Someone make a dramatic scene and place a chair in the center for her. We need to hear her thoughts on the wild rumors about her husband Bryan Redmond! Let’s hear it!
Well, we made it. Season five of Real Housewives of Dallas has finally come to a close. This season still felt like an entire circus gone wrong, despite being one carnie short. This season was the first without former Housewife LeeAnne Locken. Or was it?
Viewers may have noticed in the Part II reunion teaser this week, LeeAnne’s name was dropped. The comments were in regards to the Bryan Redmond cheating rumors being spread all over the internet. ICYMI: A video leaked about a month ago showing either Bryan, or a strong look-alike, kissing a girl in a crowded bar. Not the only cheating rumor floating around those two, either. In any event, the women seem to think LeeAnne is the source of this info getting loose.
Kary Brittingham had a rough season on Real Housewives of Dallas. I actually really liked her last season and I thought that she got a really raw deal having to put up with LeeAnne Locken the whole time. Kary definitely didn’t deserve it, but fans were still divided on her prickly demeanor.
This season is a whole different story. Kary has fought nonstop with everyone and been accused of bullying. One time bestie D’Andra Simmons ultimately seemed to get past their issues. But newbie Tiffany Moon was far from pleased with Kary’s constant partying antics. Now we have a much better understanding of why Kary was acting the way she was acting.
The Real Housewives Of Dallas Reunion is FINALLY HERE. Strap in because this one is going to be a wild one. There’s so much to unpack this season. It seemed like every episode contained another themed party or trip that stirred up drama. From the video of Brandi Redmond mocking Asians to Kary Brittingham’s new bully status. A lot has gone down this season, and Andy Cohen’s going to MENTION IT ALL.
Tiffany Moon has the seat next to Andy which means she’s going to be a major player. She was involved in quite a bit of drama for her first season. Her personal story line was also one of the more gripping ones as well. Tiffany brought everything that a Housewife needs to be successful on this show. Hopefully she tasks everyone to task for their backwards thinking and inappropriate actions. Someone needs to!
