There were games and sports galore on last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta, but undoubtedly the thing to watch was Marc Daly and Kenya Moore‘s fascinating marriage! And Marc, he’s not playing around when it comes to the rules fo his wife!
When Marc is in the room, it’s literally the only thing anyone can focus on. Everyone circles around, watching, witnessing – it’s almost a religious experience to observe Kenya be de-twirled by Marc’s systematic demands. He’s a drill sergeant, and she’s at [licking] boot camp. Kenya is usually the one spinning everything up, ruling the scene with predictable unpredictable behavior, but when Marc is present she morphs into a shadow of her former self. This reversal of position is both electrifying and depressing.
While Kenya is wrestling with marital mishaps, Cynthia Bailey is wrestling with Open Mike’s revelations. Mike Hill has written a confessional memoir about his past as a philandering ladies man who eviscerated every relationship he’s ever been in. Also, he’s a terrible arguer. And Michelle Obama says couples need to learn how to argue. So now Cynthia wants couples counseling. Which means she did learn something after all from her terrible marriage to Peter Peter Bank Account Eater.
Last night Nene Leakes finally reappeared on Real Housewives Of Atlanta. She probably should’ve stayed camouflaged in season’s past, because I personally have had enough of her martyr act. The same goes for Kenya Moore! You two are only victims of your own arrogance, ladies! And in the middle of it all was Cynthia Bailey, playing the role of the ever-forgiving, ever-loving, ever-obliging friend.
After going way overboard in her supposed clawback to Tanya Sam when Kenya arrived to lunch and called her the c-word, then brought a burnt Cookie Lady to ‘expose’ Paul Judge as a cheater, Kenya still does not at all feel she owes Tanya an apology. Of course she doesn’t.
Kenya’s desperation is showing, and that slip is dingy and frayed! Just like her marriage, and without being able to brag about being a “Mrs” and finally having the perfect life, Kenya needs the relevance of RHOA. Unfortunately Tanya and Cynthia have been caught in the crossfire.
Last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta should’ve won an award for worst relationships in a reality TV format. From Kenya Moore berating Tanya Sam and calling her the “C word” (over a wig!), to Mama Joyce deciding she’d rather trust an infant with her affairs than her son-in-law if Kandi Burruss dies, to Cynthia Bailey‘s finance admitting in front of his teenaged daughter that he never loved her mother… It just went on and on. The only person who escaped unscathed was Eva Marcille. But, she’s pregnant so that’s more than enough to deal with!
It’s been so long since Real Housewives Of Atlanta has aired that I legitimately forgot about Kenya fighting with Tanya over a wig reveal. This started when Kenya intimated that Tanya’s fiancé was cheating with some woman who owns a cookie shop in the same building as Cynthia’s new wine cellar.
To refresh: in Toronto, Kenya spent an entire dinner beating around the bush that somebody’s man was cheating, and even pointblank asked Tanya if she’d want to know if her fiance cheated. Of course, Kenya never gave any details about who she was referring to, but Cynthia and Kandi knew it was in reference to cookie lady claiming Paul Judge hit on her at a bar one night.
Even though Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill have only been together for a minute and a half, Real Housewives of Atlanta fans have been overwhelmed by their
boring relationship. Cynthia went on and on about her future marriage and wedding plans… before they were even engaged.
After all those months of begging for a ring and Kenya Moore sort of spoiling the proposal surprise, Cynthia still managed to be surprised. Well, it turns out Mike isn’t as picture perfect as Cynthia thought. It turns out he cheated on his two previous wives, a fun fact that throws off Cynthia during tonight’s new episode.
Well, knock me over with a strand of fake hair because Kenya Moore finally got ousted for wearing a wig on last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta. And no thanks to Tanya Sam, who will not be taking thinly veiled insinuations that her fiancé Paul Judge is cheating lying down!
Back from Tanada everyone had a great trip – especially Porsha Williams who is now re-engaged to Dennis McKinley. Is that a good idea? Not if you ask Porsha’s sister Lauren! Porsha decides the thing to do is organize a dinner where Dennis will apologize to Mama Diane and Lauren, then they can all act like nothing bad ever happened!
After traveling Eva Marcille is exhausted. Eva’s also stressed because she’s days away from petitioning the court to allow a name change for Marley, which will pave the way for Mike Sterling to formally adopt her. Mike is the only father Marley has ever known, but Eva still worries that the abusive ‘donor daddy’ might make a sudden trip down to Atlanta, violating restraining orders, to contest the proceedings. Mike is not worried. I guess as a prosecutor he’s come up against plenty of hardened criminals so one little Instagram model with a temper – however horrendous and evil – isn’t quite as scary?
Last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta was a trip to the insane asylum rather than carnival. Or maybe they thought they were visiting LeeAnne Locken‘s carnival of crazy? The fighting and attempted snake baiting went so completely off the rails that Kenya Moore‘s elusive SECURITY! appeared out of nowhere to drag Nene Leakes away. Does Kenya summon them by flicking her maxi dress?!
It’s hard to believe the mess all started with Porsha Williams getting re-engaged in a surprise re-proposal. Dennis McKinley showed up Tanya Sam‘s party, and crept through the crowd like a gopher, until he popped up right at Porsha’s feet holding a ring.
All it took was Dennis publicly admitting that he betrayed Porsha’s trust and embarrassed their family for her to immediately re-accept and start calling him “husband,” but something is not right because Porsha was all excited to take Dennis back to the hotel for some peen, yet he had to fly home to his hot dogs instead… Like Kandi Burruss I too have my suspicions. However if I were Kandi I’d be more worried about what Todd Tucker is doing with his time all day with all these unfinished properties he spent her money on!
Tanya Sam was a new addition to Real Housewives of Atlanta in Season 11. She appeared as a Friend of the Housewives. Initially, Tanya was brought on as NeNe Leakes’ friend. Oh, how that changed during the season!
NeNe became angry when she thought that Tanya dissed NeNe’s store, Swagg Boutique, during the Housewives talent show in Florida. NeNe later said that Tanya was obsessed with labels. (Hello–have you met your fellow Housewives? And looked in a mirror lately, NeNe?) In Tokyo, the ladies each got a fortune at a temple. NeNe said that Tanya’s fortune meant that she might not marry her fiancé, Paul Judge. NeNe blew up (as she typically does) when Tanya was upset over the way that NeNe shaded her relationship. Later, Bravo officially changed Tanya to Eva Marcille’s friend. Well played, Bravo. Well played.
NeNe Leakes is short on friends in the current Real Housewives of Atlanta cast. However, she does seem to be on great terms with RHOA alum Phaedra Parks. NeNe said she wanted Phaedra to return. Several times.
Clearly, she’d take Phaedra over her ex-bestie Cynthia Bailey. NeNe denounced Cynthia to “coworker status” after the season finale antics. NeNe is also done with Friend of the Housewives Tanya Sam. Or is it the other way around? After giving Tanya hell all season long, their friendship fell apart. So what happens when NeNe, Phaedra, Cynthia, and Tanya all end up in the same place? They take pictures
to get attention. Separately, of course.
