It’s been weeks since the fight between Monique Samuels & Candiace Dillard Bassett. However, the altercation is almost ALL anyone is talking about on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Does anyone else have fatigue from this assault talk? We get it. We know what happened. Either they find a way to move past it, or one of them needs to leave the group. Monique is so isolated and on an island right now, so maybe she should go.

Tensions are only going to escalate though because Monique is going to file a counter suit. No idea why or what grounds. Everyone with eyeballs saw that Monique is the one who took things to the next level. For her to have the audacity to then try to become the victim is mind blowing. The charges for both end up dropped, but this is going to be quite the journey it seems.

What you expect your friend to do and what they actually do might be two different things.

It must be difficult for Karen to try to navigate between her two friends. However, at the end of the day, it was MONIQUE who crossed the line more than anyone else. She created the mess that has her on the outs with most of the cast. For them, it’s just too soon to start repairing and forgiving. If she lets it breathe a bit, she may be able to find her way in the group again. For now though, she needs to stop playing the victim.

You can feel how fractured the group is because of this vicious incident. However, Monique has yet to show any remorse for her actions. Until that happens, things won’t be able to move forward in any way.

To this point, neither woman involved in the altercation wants to take any blame. Something has to give. Someone needs to be the bigger person and accept their role in what went down. Given she was aggressor, we’ve likely seen the last of Monique’s group scenes. It’s a shame how low things got and how toxic they’ve become. The next big question is if Candiace is willing to press charges. That’s a massive step.
