Kathryn Edwards On Leaving RHOBH: “I Have No Regrets At All”

What everyone suspected is true: Kathryn Edwards was a one-season wonder after all. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie will not return for season 7, despite her (somewhat strained) attempt to cause enough drama to be relevant.

Kathryn, who calls herself a “pretty private person,” looks back fondly at her short stint on RHOBH. She reflects, “I walk away from it all with great feelings. I have no regrets at all.” Citing “time” as the reason she’s leaving, Kathryn says she wants to spend more of it with those she values, her husband and family. “I really didn’t want to miss another year. It’s nice to be able to live life.”

So, does this mean Kathryn will be remembered mainly for spreading gossip between Erika Girardi and Lisa Vanderpump? Or for her totally botched attempt to confront Faye Resnick? Kathryn hopes not. She instead hopes that bringing awareness to deafness and hearing devices will be her legacy: “I feel really good walking away that I was able to get to a lot of people as far as my hearing device.” She says the outpouring of fan support “from people who got the hearing device that I have and it’s changed their life” is amazing.

Perhaps Kathryn just wasn’t cut out to be a Beverly Hills housewife in the end. She tells PEOPLE, “I’m really just an average Midwest people person kind of girl so I’ve never really felt like I was unapproachable.” This seems like code for: I am not b*tchy enough to deal with these petty shrews! (Which might just be correct!)

Kathryn’s departure comes on the heels of reports that Yolanda Foster/Hadid, her lemon trees, her Lyme Journey, and her many bags of bullsh*t and Eileen Davidson are also not returning for season 7. Whether Eileen has been demoted to “friend of the housewives” or not still remains an unconfirmed rumor. But that’s the way Bravo loves to play it!

Temporarily on the fence about her return, Lisa Vanderpump has now confirmed that she will be back, albeit with some stipulations about the cameras focusing on her charity work rather than mean girl drama. Oy vey. Here’s crossing all fingers and toes that Lisa’s negotiations work in her favor!

As for Kathryn, she says her hubby is just glad to have her back to himself. And she says she’ll still be a loyal viewer of RHOBH, even though she’s no longer on it. She jokes, “I’m dying to see what’s going to happen with Vanderpump and the crew next season!” So are we, Kathryn. So are we.
