It’s about time that Stassi Schroeder wrote a book. The Vanderpump Rules OG has blessed he fandom with iconic quotes and wisdom for years. Now it’s officially official. Stassi Schroeder is an author and her debut book will be available before you know it!
Stassi broke the big news with an Instagram post. She announced, “Y’ALL. I wrote a freaking book!!!!!!!”
She joked, “People always say to write what you know. So obvs I wrote about what I know best — being basic.” Props to Stassi for owning her persona and capitalizing on it.
Nevertheless, Stassi is far from basic. Would a basic person ever say, “I want to wrap a dildo in acid and give it to Kristen [Doute] as a present so it tears out her insides.” Plus, she famously declared, “My mom has always told me that I’m a descendant of a Swedish princess, so I try and act like one.” These are far from basic sentiments.
With that said, we all have our own “basic” moments from time to time. Stassi is infamous for her love of her own birthday, No one will ever forget her proclamation “It’s my birthday, what I say goes”.” That’s about as basic as it gets. At least she’s proud of that!
She revealed, “Next Level Basic is out April – AND you can preorder with the link in bio. Like holy shit, holy shit. That’s my book!!!” You can preorder Next Level Basic at this link.
What can we expect from Next Level Basic: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook? According to publisher Simon and Schuster, readers will “discover how to embrace your best basic self in this laugh-out-loud funny guidebook from the breakout star of Bravo’s hit reality show Vanderpump Rules.”
Specifically, “Stassi champions the things that many of us are afraid to love publicly for fear of being labeled basic: lattes, pugs, bubbly cocktails, millennial pink, #OOTD (outfit of the day, obvs), astrology, hot dogs, the perfect pair of Louboutins, romantic comedies…the list goes on and on.”
That sounds like the perfect Christmas gift for the basic bitches in your life. Unfortunately, the book is not out until April, so just pre-order and treat yourself (or your basic bitch friend).
I’m not gonna lie, I am a sucker for a reality TV-authored book. I just cannot help it. I read them all: the good, the bad, and the poorly written (those are usually the most entertaining). Plenty of reality TV stars shared supportive messages on her Instagram post.
Brittany Cartwright congratulated Stassi on the achievement.
Former Bravolebrity Patti Stanger also commented on Stassi’s announcement.
