Kyle Richards Planned To Make Amends With Lisa Vanderpump At Premiere Party

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 is already crazy, and it has only just begun! Will we ever know the truth about when (and how) Lucy, Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley’s adopted pup from Vanderpump Dog Foundation, landed in a shelter? Lisa Vanderpump came to Dorit’s defense, much to Kyle Richards’ dismay. Kyle felt that she is held to a different standard than  Dorit and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave. Lisa needled Kyle about missing the Daily Mail party at new bar TomTom, but was fine with Dorit allegedly abandoning re-homing poor Lucy. And it looks like Lucy is already more popular with viewers than Dorit this season!

During RHOBH’s premiere, fans were treated to part of the fiery argument between Kyle, Lisa, and Lisa’s husband, Ken Todd. That fight resulted in Kyle being told to leave Villa Rosa. That was tough to watch, and we still don’t know the exact cause of the rift.

Lisa’s appearance at the RHOBH’s premiere party on February 12 was unexpected and brief. Lisa told Entertainment Tonight “I have never missed one before and I am not going to miss one now. Listen, I don’t take my direction from anybody. I do what I want to do, and I am here to support the show.”

According to an article in Life & Style, Kyle was hoping to reconcile with Lisa at the event. “I was looking forward to speaking to her tonight actually,” Kyle shared. “I thought, oh, this is a good time because I’ve reached out in other ways, so I thought that tonight with it being season 9, we should be celebrating.” Hopefully, “Splits” Richards spared the partygoers her signature move.

Kyle added, “I saw Ken [Todd] over here, and thought OK, I’ll do the carpet and then go and say hello but she’d already left.” It seems odd that Kyle would want to work things out at such a public party, as opposed to a more private venue. As for reaching out to Lisa, Kyle admitted that she already had. “I have. I mean, how many times can I try?”

So, what was the root of that epic blow-up at Villa Rosa? “I wanted to be honest, and I spoke the truth and her reaction was very extreme. It was totally surprising and hurtful because I care about both of them,” Kyle explained. “She may think I must not care about her because of what I said, but just because you have an opinion doesn’t mean you don’t care about that person, but that’s hard for her to understand.” Yikes!

It still seems like an odd place to try and make amends. Unless Kyle wanted it to be filmed. Because, if you are a Real Housewife, life doesn’t happen unless it is captured by the cameras.
