Vanderpump Rules Brittany Cartwright

Stassi Schroeder Says Vanderpump Rules Cast Was More Vocal About Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright Pastor Controversy Than What Was Shown On TV

Last week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules was pretty heated. The countdown to Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s wedding is taking forever and on top of that, they hired a (seemingly) homophobic pastor to officiate the ceremony. Once some of his social media posts went public, Brittany denied that he was “that way” during a flashback clip that was shared during last week’s episode.

However, Lisa Vanderpump had a talk with Jax and Brittany about the man and then they left him the dust, asking Lance Bass to officiate instead. Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix couldn’t believe that it took Jax and Brittany so long to change their decision. Meanwhile, everyone else seemed to be walking on eggshells, afraid to upset their precious Brittany and Jax before their wedding. Apparently, that wasn’t completely the case though, at least according to Stassi Schroeder.

In an interview with Yahoo, Stassi began, “It was more intense in person, I will say that.” And, no, she’s not referring to Tom’s screaming match with Jax and Brittany at Peter Madrigal’s birthday party.

Stassi revealed, “There were way more conversations about that, and I was kind of irritated that it seemed at the end like we weren’t speaking up to Jax and Brittany, because every single one of us had had a conversation with them about how we felt. We just called them and texted them. Each of us did that.”

But, why didn’t anyone do it on camera? Were they just trying to protect their friends by not sharing the actual reality of the situation? What happened to the thirsty kids who would never hesitate to throw their “best friends” under the bus? I can’t help missing the early days of Vanderpump Rules.

Stassi continued, “It looked like we didn’t care, but it was like, ‘No, we’ve been talking to them for days now about this,’ and because of the way Sandoval handled it after — it was already taken care of — it kind of just turned it into a completely different fight and thing.”

Stassi concluded, “Like any episode of any reality show, you can’t possibly show everything.” But, how would we show a text message conversation on the show? Sure, we’ve seen screenshots before, but to me, it sounds like the OG cast members were just trying to protect their friends’ reputations/spots on the show now that there are 45,094 cast members on this show.
