Jennifer Aydin Real Housewives Of New Jersey

Real Housewives Of New Jersey Star Jennifer Aydin Made Up With Her Mom

Jennifer Aydin definitely found her voice on this seasons the Real Housewives of New Jersey.  Her costars may not agree with what she says, but she’s made herself heard to the other ladies, and is killing it at the Season 11 Reunion.

Unfortunately, Jennifer had a difficult time managing the relationship between herself and her parents.  A long-time feud came to a head when she moved her father into her home.  Jennifer’s mother felt she was backing her father and expressed humiliation that her husband chose to live separately of her, despite the marital problems they’ve had for decades.  Jennifer tried to mediate.  She organized a tea party with the other ladies so her mother could see that other couples choose to live apart too.  However, Jennifer’s mother only ended up feeling embarrassed by the whole thing and she and Jennifer did not speak for some time.

Here’s where Melissa Gorga, Jackie Goldschneider, and Margaret Josephs were able to dig in.  They accused Jennifer of using her family for a story line and humiliating her mother on national television.  Well, Jackie and Margaret MAYBE can make that point, but Melissa?  Really? AKA, Teresa Giudice’s sister in law.  That Melissa?

Seriously, are any of these ladies NOT bringing their families on camera?  Jackie’s kids are lovely, but do we need consolation footage of her family life after she refused to go on a cast tripMargaret has no family to speak of except Marge Sr., but we see enough of her.  We also know, thanks to her daughter’s publication, that Marge Senior’s parenting left a lot to be desired.

But Marge and crew keep asking Jennifer to be authentic for the show.  What they don’t understand, is that Jennifer’s identity stems from caring for her siblings, her children, her husband, and her parents.  Generally speaking, it stems from a culture that values the good of the collective family.  That family is the most important investment for your future.  At the reunion, Jennifer mic-dropped, “I am my family.”

It’s easy to see why she and Margaret bicker.  If Jennifer represents traditional family values, then Margaret sides with modern feminism.Methinks a true feminist would respect how any woman chooses to live her life……

Happily, Jennifer and her mother made up since the reunion filmed.  On Thursday, Jennifer announced the news on an Instagram post.  She wrote, “I’m happy to announce that my mother and I made up!  People with strong family values find their way back to each other, eventually-time heals all wounds!

Jennifer and her family are visiting her nephew.  She said, “we are in Turkey together, enjoying our newest addition, John Brian, who seems to already be obsessed with his Aunt Jenn!”

And in a sweet message just for her mother, Jennifer gave her the apology she needed.  “I love you Mommy,” she said, “and I’m sorry that I hurt you.  Let’s get this family back together!”
