Kathy Hilton Is Going To Court After Accusing Her Housekeeper Of Stealing

Well, at just two episodes, this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills could already blow the previous few out of the water. All signs point to season 11 being a banger. Mere months ago we were crossing our fingers in hopes of Kyle Richards’ sister, Kathy Hilton, joining the RHOBH cast. For once, the Bravo gods have smiled down and given us this gift.

Kathy has officially joined the RHOBH ladies for season 11! At long last! Kathy has been joined by another rookie, Crystal Kung Minkoff. Together, these two are spicing up our lives by shifting cast dynamics and boosting the quirk of these otherwise stuffy and guarded women. Who needs a glassware or panty storyline? Give us all the childhood dental work and personal box fan goodness. Another thing both rookies bring to the table? Financial prowess.

Kathy, as I think we all know, is married to successful businessman, Richard Hilton. Richard boasts a net worth over 300-million. These two live in a fabulous, massive, and pricey, Bel Air home. Sounds nice. But managing the estate has become complicated due to a recent lawsuit the Hiltons fine themselves in. Radar Online is reporting that a former housekeeper at the Hilton Homestead previously sued the couple for allegedly failing to pay her overtime, failure to provide proper meal breaks, and unfair business practices. Yikes.

The lawsuit was filed back in 2019. The ex-employee claims she was hired to be the couples’ live-in housekeeper. Her lawsuit stated that the  “Defendants failed to provide Plaintiff with a second meal period or any rest periods as required by law; Defendants willfully failed to pay Plaintiff all wages due after Plaintiff’s separation from Defendants’ employment; and, Defendants knowingly and intentionally failed to provide Plaintiff with accurate wage statements.” Ouch.

The former employee is seeking an excess of $25,000. A drop in the bucket for the Hiltons, really. Rather than paying the amount, however, Rick and Kathy had another idea. The couple has not only denied all allegations about failure to pay or provide breaks, they are actually counter-suing.

Kathy is reportedly ready to take the stand if needed. She is claiming her former employee stole from the Hilton home. Her argument is that, not only is the housekeeper owed nothing, but if she was, it should be offset by the “Plaintiff’s theft of items from the Defendants’ home.” The plot thickens.

Kathy’s lawyer provided the following; “Defendants are informed and believe, and based thereon allege, that Defendants are entitled to a complete and/or partial offset against each and every cause of action alleged in the Complaint in an amount to be established at trial, based in part or in whole on Plaintiff’s theft of items from Defendants’ home.”

The Los Angeles Superior Court judge has set the trail for November 2, 2021.
