First off, they live in Los Angeles, an unforgiving hell-mouth when it comes to physical imperfections. Second, they are reality TV stars. Enough said. Unkind viewers will point out any changes in physical appearance, without any empathy or understanding of postpartum hormones.
Vanderpump Rules alum Brittany Cartwrightwas slammed for her weight gain while pregnant with son Cruz, and has been working hard to regain her pre-pregnancy shape. Scheana Shay has been struggling with her postpartum body on Season 9. It wasn’t enough to target her fashion choices, but now haters are going after her apparent hair loss.
According to an article by People, Scheana took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday to respond comments about her hairline from the recent Vanderpump Rules episode. While attending the launch party of Lala Kent’s Give Them Lala Beauty Line, Scheana styled herself in a one-shoulder dress and high ponytail. Viewers were quick to point out the changes in her hairline.
Scheana gave birth to daughter Summer Moon on April 26th. Now, 8 months postpartum, she is experiencing a perfectly normal reaction to the fluctuating hormones that occur after birth. She responded, “To everyone who has commented on my hairline tonight: this was already my biggest insecurity and legit the only thing I usually would facetune. After having a baby, I have postpartum hair loss.”

“It is slowly coming back,” she continued, “but I’m also still pumping milk every 3 hours since Summer stopped latching. Not sure if breastfeeding is related to the hair thinning also but it’s happening to me. My hair was coming out in chunks. Next time think before you comment.”
“I knew it was coming soon, but I didn’t know how or when,” Scheana said at the time, “I was so surprised! Brock knows me so well and knew exactly how to do what I would want. There’s no date set, but our dream would be to get married in Bali.”
